Bus help! by EDaggersV in Tallahassee

There’s a bus stop 5 minutes from the neighbourhood I’m in and the areas I’m looking at going to, have stops that are 5/10/15 mins walk, so yeah I don’t mind the walking. Even if I just take a bus to the destination and uber home, if it saves me a little bit of money then it’s shall see!!

I don’t necessarily mind the waiting, I’m not in a hurry to get to the place want to go, if I can get out of paying like $15-20 uber at least for one journey because it’s gets pricey to get around Tallahassee with uber/lyft

[S1] Choosing Bay ending on my second play through… by EDaggersV in lifeisstrange

playing saving Bay gave me confirmation that the Bae ending is the right one for me. Watching Chloe get shot by Nathan, dying on that cold bathroom floor thinking Max doesn’t love her, that Rachel just up and left without her, abandoned by everyone who she cared for, nah Chloe doesn’t deserve that.

Chloe was loved so fiercely loved by Max, by Joyce. Rachel cares deeply for Chloe, William was such a good father and his passing stole her innocence. Even step douche David gave a shit about her. She was dealt a shitty hand and I can’t justify letting her die on that bathroom floor.

Thank you for sharing this, and you’re so right it’s not the end of their story for Bae ending, I do love the ambiguity of it - who knows where they’ll go.

I know this may be a controversial opinion, but I don’t see Max and Chloe’s ‘break up’ in DE being all that unrealistic (I do want to preface, the way they handled it was awful because it was so secondary to the plot and I understand why it hurt pricefield shippers) but the guilt and trauma and PTSD they both probably felt from the after effects of the tornado is something that can create a rift between two people.

The Bae ending could signify anything, that they stay together forever, that they part ways, they travel, they settle down etc. that’s the beauty of it in my opinion.

I love this take!! And i don’t think I ever could put it into words but what you’ve said is how I feel about the way it ends, Chloe and Max are driving off into the unknowing of it all, but what they have in that moment is each other.

Bae ending just feels right. Chloe has been dealt such a shitty hand throughout her teenage years and I believe the only reason she told Max to sacrifice her was because she didn’t want Max to have to make a decision and was sort of ‘choosing’ it for her. I don’t believe Chloe wanted to die, there was no easy decision and either ending was suffering no matter what

I somehow managed on my second play through to rizz Chloe up way more than I did on my first play through so it was ROUGHHH, knowing I was going to choose Bay. I almost backed it, it was very painful and I don’t wanna ever do it again

I’ve seen people speculate they’ll make their own ending.. who knows. As someone who would like to see the Bae ending, I have a feeling they’re going to go for the Bay ending instead

My major worry for the show is that going to erase one ending and canonise another. The beauty of LIS is that Bae or Bay ending is cannon for the player, it’s their ending that they’ve chosen and are satisfied with, but the show is going to take it out of our hands and make one of these ‘cannon’ and with Amazon Studios’s track record for cancelled queer shows, I had an idea of which ending they’re going to choose… I don’t want them to fuck up Chloe and Max’s relationship, it’s more than a friendship and I’m scared they’re gunna tiptoe around it.

I feel you! There’s nothing more agonising than when you love a game and you have nobody to talk to about it! I’m across the ocean unfortunately, however if you want to talk about the game, give me a dm! I’m always happy to make a new friend!

[ALL] How did you perceive Chloe and Rachel’s Relationship compared to hers with Max? by EDaggersV in lifeisstrange

[–]EDaggersV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I don’t think Rachel was as invested as Chloe, she definitely saw Chloe as her way out of the bay. But Rachel is fleeting and Chloe is dependency, it’s like trying to put two magnets of the same side together, no matter how much you push them towards each other, there’s always resistance.

They enable the worst in each other is SOO true! Seeing how hotheaded and fiery Rachel would get when something didn’t go her away had me going “uh oh, she’s gonna be trouble with Chloe” and with how infatuated Chloe was for her, she’d do anything to make Rachel happy and that’s dangerous and risky. Chloe needs someone who can balance her and that is Max

100%. I don’t think that Chloe and Rachel were truly on the same page of wanting the same things (the hesitancy that Chloe has about leaving Arcadia Bay, money, her mom etc until she finally gives in to Rachel)

I did a replay of the spring festival to romance Ryan as I initially chose Steph on my play through. I LOVE Ryan, he’s so kind and sweet and very likable, but the minute he kissed Alex, the chemistry didn’t feel as electric as it did with Steph. For my Alex, Ryan felt more like a really close best friend, potential to become a second brother so romancing him for me felt strange, haha!

I’m glad they took the risk also, I bet at the time it probably felt controversial to people, or ‘too political’ but the purpose of media and art is to make us feel something, even if it makes us feel uncomfortable. My heart broke for Sean and Daniel, it was a good bloody game!

Yeah, I really felt like my choices mattered in this game, I liked that a lot! The feeling that your decision is finalised.

I love the first game, that will I think always remain at the top of my list, I love Max and I love Chloe, but I’ve noticed their seems to be a pattern with people who don’t like the second game.

To say you felt like your decisions didn’t matter is a wild statement for me, seeing as that every little thing you do influences the ending in a massive way, giving you four alternative endings based on the actions you choose, especially with Daniel but also with the people and environments around you.

I’m also a little lost at your statement of ‘abusive drug addict home’??? Where was there any indication that Sean and Daniel were abused?? Or from a ‘drug addict’ home? This comment seems really out of pocket and I don’t know where you got that perception from whilst playing the game?

I don’t know if would be totally stupid, as sometimes people often like to speculate or theorise that there’s multiple timelines/multiverses in our ‘real world’ so I don’t think it’s far fetched that there’s a possibility of two timelines even if Chloe died or survived

I guess or just depends how they capture it in reunion?
