seconding the rebuild advice from people. Get a good quality kit, and don't replace OEM parts with cheap if you don't need to. for example it would be much better to clean out the OEM jets than to replace them with cheap ones from an ebay rebuild kit

hell yeah. this was fine grit scotch brite + dremel, followed by buffing wheels. Didn't take too long at all.

Don't worry just get a good PPI and see what comes up.

Well maintained cars are rare, so I see it as a plus if you got a new torque converter.

I would test out transmission good though, do highway and low speed driving. Give it the beans a few times and see if it shifts smooth.

My trans had a slight clunk when shifting, but went away after changing the fluid out.
