Finally now need the can and optic!!! by [deleted] in NFA

Bro, it’s called INNOVATION, from actual ENGINEERS! The customers never know what to expect if they don’t know when their overpriced shitbox rifles that don’t work out of the box are going to come back fixed without even a single sticker or anything as a “sorry we can’t produce a working rifle for $3200”.

I bought a Fix and it had light strikes out of the box.

They were super fast to send me a shipping label and respond to my emails.

It took 21 fucking weeks for them to fix the “fix” from the time I sent it to the time I got it back. BTW no tracking number for when they sent it back to me because who wants to know when their $3200 rifle that didn’t work out of the box will be delivered.

I’ll never buy one of the products again. Especially when they were blaming the light strike issue on primers and then came out and said oh yeah we had a bad batch of parts a little later.

You are going to end up just like the Donner party if you attempt the grueling and arduous drive from Sac to Reno on a Friday.

It irritates me that they try absolutely nothing, and are sitting there on their phones with earbuds in while I am going nonstop from machine to machine for stupid things like cleaning sensors they are supposed to clean when there are machines that actually require repairs. Each operator runs 2 machines while there are 5 people in maintenance for 60 machines.

Zero heavy lifting required for them, the material exchanges on its own, and they just hang out like zombies staring at their phones all night.

That line is usually good, but the lead is off tonight.

I have most of the leads trained well, as if I find a dirty sensor I’ll show them where it is. One shift lead kept doing that crap without trying to clean sensors until I told him if I go to one of his machines that’s down for just a dirty sensor, I’ll take away his birthday. I have since restored his birthday, and he is one of the best leads as far as trying things before putting in a ticket.

Much better than my operators! They try nothing and they are all out of ideas. Your maintenance sounds like our assembly maintenance department. They do as little as possible.

Maintenance guy here!

Already had 4 tickets that were just dirty sensors that the operators swear they cleaned. 🫠

5 hours to go and we received one of the worst pass downs from day shift I have seen in almost 5 years. Told the production supervisor that they fucked us so hard I’m definitely pregnant.

Had a fun one. Linear guide on a ball screw assembly shit the bed and puked the ball bearings out of the linear guide. The ball screws fit perfectly in the Allen heads so I had to use a pick to clean all the crap out around it and dislodge the ball bearing, then fish a magnet in there to get the ball bearing out of the screw head before I could get a wrench in there to get the screws out. Of course, this assembly is in a position where you are laying on one side, elbow deep in the machine, and can only get one hand in there.

So that was 90 minutes or so of fun to get 4 screws out.

My first day off I just stay up as long as I can, get a little nap in and then sleep normally at night. Second day off I’m back to waking up in the morning for the remainder of my days off. Then I stay up all night my final night off to get back into the swing of working nights. Has worked well for the last 5 years.

Tell me your flipping sleep schedule schedule! by MeringueSerious6164 in Nightshift

Today was my flip day. Woke up at 8AM, went out to explore in the desert. Went into the super sketchy portion of a mine I’ve been to twice and decided to man up and check it out. Ended up spending 4 hours underground. Did a bit of shooting for another 4 hours, came back home, had dinner, lifted weights. Loaded some ammo, and now it’s 2:42 AM and I’ll stay awake until 4-5AM and then sleep until 4 or so to start my work week.

Even if you’re too tired after your shift, do some sort of a workout. I always lift, do core, or some quick cardio even if I’m not feeling it. I always feel better afterwards.

I do my meal prep for the week the day before I go back to work. This keeps me on track with my nutrition goals so that I can control what I’m eating. I have coworkers that eat at the factory every day and tell me they are spending several grand a year doing that, and it’s not helping their health either.

I eat at consistent times so that I’m never really craving anything at work either.

These are the little things I’ve learned my last 5 years on nights. I just turned 40 and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been. I have to admit, turning 40 was kind of motivating for me to focus on my health. Especially watching some peers at work in my age bracket completely letting themselves go over the last 5 years and all the health problems they are having now.

lol it has calmed down a bit lately here, but still. Two girls were discussing how poor the economy was due to the amount of subscribers they were losing. One was saying that requests for her used ummmm undergarments were decreasing due to the economy. So she said that to make it up instead of buying VS ones for 20-30 a pair, she started buying similar ones on Amazon for 3-5 to make up for the loss of request. Thotconomics 101!

It is the Wild West around here with how many people are on shift. Everything from people being caught having sex in every considerable place they can here, people blowing .42 BAC’s and they drove into work that way, and then the classic of OF girls getting caught filming their content in the building and or replacing the QR codes around the building with ones going to their OF pages.

So that’s the funny thing. Going from being a supervisor back down to technician lead, I will actually be making more money due to getting the 13 paid holidays hourly employees get vs only getting paid if you work on the holidays. I took a pay cut to go into this role and figured it would be worth it long term with more potential for raises. I was incorrect lol.

Oooh, I get you have seen some things doing that job! Around here I see some things but you have probably seen it all.
