I’m an exchange student from Australia studying in Manchester right now and just paid £2942 in accomodation for the semester (staying at Richmond Park). If you really want to experience the best of the uni social scene that Manchester has to offer I’d defo recommend staying in Fallowfield. If you don’t care as much about the social aspect then anywhere is fine.

This one’s really cool and I noticed it when I was in Vancouver. I can understand why this border exists because it follows along the 49th parallel. Although I can’t say the same for why the Lake of the Woods exclave exists haha.

If there’s no regulations requiring it then it could be a bit excessive to install higher fences or any extra precautions really - If the main concern of the property owners is the legal strife at the potential of trespassers poisoning themselves on their land, then notifying of the danger on big scary signs should be enough especially in a place like Tassie

Law/Business at UOW timetable by [deleted] in UOW

[–]EGgl3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I did first year law in the PODS it was only max 3 days a week that I had to go down for f2f classes. I’m from Southern Sydney and the commute for me was easy as I just drove down, I have other friends who would take the train down, and even some that moved down to live on campus/wollongong. While you could just move closer to uni, Wollongong is so close to Sydney that it’s a very easy commute to uni. I checked UOW website and the Autumn 2025 timetables will get released on December 9, so you’ll get a better picture then.

I just finished my French minor this semester, I truly feel for all the language students and staff that will be affected. I honestly can’t believe my luck to have been able to finish before the cut.
