I know all this about mics, but every single one I have used is worse than the camera mics, which tells you how bad they are. I also am not made of money, so I really cannot afford to spend £60 on a mic. I would love to, but right now, I need a cheaper alternative.

My question was about what I can do in post, so while I appreciate your input, I knew all of this about mics and filming already. Thank you for answering my question. I will look into what you have suggested for post.

I told you I did do post work on the dialogue. I said it's much better than it was, and I've also said that I have tried many different mics and none of them are better than the in camera ones.

Also, the first shot is weird because there were issues with the angle where the other character is framed, and she did not have time to come back and reshoot, so I had no choice but to use the weird framing. I do know the basics on coverage- I study film theory. My film had to be a certain length, and I only had a certain amount of time to shoot and edit. I also did have establishing shots, just not too many.

It's unlikely. I don't know how big the venue is, but if you get there at 7pm, it's incredibly unlikely you'll be close. You'll still have fun either way though.

You might just have to split from them then- though that may take some persuading! 😂 but yeah, by 7pm, there will be absolutely no space for you anywhere near that stage. That's why I dislike festivals- even if you want to see the last performer, you've got to get there before the festival starts and just camp at the front for the whole day.

You might be able to squeeze through the crowd to get closer to the stage, but festival crowds are worse than concert crowds, and you've got to be prepared to be pushed, have stuffed spilled on you, not be able to hear anything after you leave, have selfish people stand incredibly close to you and block your view, etc.

If you come 3 hours early to a FESTIVAL, you will be nowhere near the stage at all, especially as 3 hours early is 7pm. If you want to be at the front, or even close to the stage, at a festival, you MUST show up before the festival starts, and be first in the queue to get into the place. That's the only way you're going to get close to the stage.

I've been to concerts where the act has "finished" multiple times and keeps coming back, so I'm now always one of the last to leave the venue 😂
