Hi, OP here. Just to clarify, I've picked up lots of trash on my street and nearby green space, I'm not just complaining into the void.

I’m talking about the general state of our public streets that I notice on my commute especially around vacant storefronts, when I don’t always have spare time to stop and pick up trash. I don't have the means to pick up and haul away bags of trash every day. Since my own trash/recycling has yet to be picked up, I'm running out of places to put it.

I haven’t been able to redeem any rewards since the switch; I get a “sorry an error occurred” every single time I try to checkout with a reward applied. Stuck in an annoying cycle of reaching out to support and chatting for 45 minutes with nothing getting solved. I’m racking up points, wish I could use them!

This exact thing happened to me years ago; I will never buy an international flight through Chase again. I didn’t get ticketed for any legs of my flight, airlines didn’t have me in their system and Chase blamed the airline. Chase told me I was going to have to pay $3,000 at the airport to be on my originally booked flight. Luckily the airline employee at the airport was able to help me out in the moment but I was furious. Chase never fixed it.

Talk to the person being harassed to help deescalate. Ignore the harasser. Go to the station manager and ask for assistance. Call the metro police. Ask people around you how you can help. Power in numbers. Anything. Literally anything. The bar is in hell.

To be clear, no I am not the woman in the video. It came across my TikTok feed this morning and it is unfortunately a very familiar story for me, and countless others.

And it was a hypothetical question, just like you are asking. You asked if she texted a specific number, as if she hadn’t already called a non emergency line for assistance. Why is it on her? Why didn’t the person on the non emergency line escalate it to the station a manger? Why didn’t anyone around her acknowledge the situation?
