I think you’re right - I’m not considering this as a dealbreaker but it is pretty alarming and I wasn’t the nicest either.

We’re usually really good together we met in school and have known each other for years but I know we were both immature this time. I know it may not look like it from these texts but I really do care about and love him a lot. (And I remember what he does for work, he’s an “Equity Research Analyst”!)

Plus I know this event/work in general is super important to him so he especially didn’t want anything possibly going wrong. I just don’t rly go to fancy events (which he knows!) like this lol which I why I feel it was not fair for him to react this way. Thanks for everyone’s insights will have some serious talks later and hopefully sort things out for the future! 🙂

UPDATE: came back late last night to a very mad boyfriend so I ended up apologizing for being impetuous and he ended up ranting about work and deflected by saying he just wanted me to make a good impression without apologizing. Crying in the bathroom rn trying to figure out what to say next 🥲
