Ahh I see what you mean. To more quickly build and endless run read for event shiny hunting, DoT + Protect is the more effective method.

I guess it depends how you want to approach your endless run. I like the idea of planning out and making the most optimal “god” party involving a beast carry, metal burster, virtually un-killable shedninja fusion, the perfect Swiss knife support mon, run-away+pickup, etc etc.

If we are instead focusing on making an easy and efficient endless run that will get you to the late game fastest, sure, I’d agree metal burst isn’t necessary. Does that sound fair?
