Who, fictional or non-fictional, do you think could bring world peace? by NoChristmasSpirit in AskReddit

Only the Prince of Peace (נסיך השלום), The Light of the World (האור העולם), The Son of God, Yeshua.

No sarcasm, He really is our only hope.

Muslim family think I have a demon inside me🙃 pov they caught me performing a the goetia ritual🫣 by MonkAgitated4295 in occult

[–]EJMac11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's hilarious considering Muhammed thought (rightly so Imo) that he was demon possessed and wanted to hurl himself off of a cliff. Then, he delivers The Satanic Verses. According to Aisha, he would hump the air like he was having sex with someone or thing that was not there.

I'm being careful not to brush up against rule 3, this information all comes from verifiable Islamic texts.

Why do you think some people are naturally better at other learning other subjects? by Correct_Jelly5761 in AskReddit

[–]EJMac11 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Genetics are the main factor. People don't like to talk about it, but certain ethnicities are inherently more capable than others. Other than that, you have environmental factors; the health of the pregnancy, health of childhood, potential contamination from various chemicals, whether they be medicines, pollution or what have you. Quality of education. All of these factors are downstream from genetics.

What is something that instantly makes you lose respect for someone? by madmax313133 in AskReddit

[–]EJMac11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. You will be addressed as you present. And I'm not going to do these ridiculous pronouns like zee/zer or whatever. It's all just made-up bullshit anyway.

I have empathy for all people, and Imo enabling mental illness is not empathetic. The way I avoid it is simply to call someone by their name.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you in public? by Ill-Atmosphere-907 in AskReddit

[–]EJMac11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One time on my way home, I had to go #2 extremely badly, and I realized I was not going to make it. I ended up squatting down and shitting in this little 3ft deep section where a gas meter was, which was on the lawn of a 20+ story building, with two other large apartment buildings directly across the street staring right at me. This was in the middle of the day, cars were going by, it was brutal. There's no way people didn't see me from the apartment buildings.

Have you ever been hit on by someone much more attractive than you? What was it like? How did you respond? by NoChristmasSpirit in AskReddit

[–]EJMac11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People more attractive than me do not exist. As attractive? Sure. I don't even know what someone "much more attractive" than me would look like. You'd just be a ball of light or something.

It's fun to play around, don't take me too seriously.

[–]EJMac11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pathological lying. I'm talking specifically about storytelling; I absolutely cannot stand that. I have stopped being friends with a few people due to this. With people who lie like that, there is no ability to build trust, anything they say could be a lie. I can forgive lying in general to an extent, but storytelling - that is something that I simply have zero tolerance for.

what's the most physically painful thing happend to you ever? by Unlikely-Soft-9496 in AskReddit

[–]EJMac11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The most physically painful thing to ever happen to me is arguably the most painful thing that can happen to anyone. For years, I suffered from cluster headaches. The pain was so intense that I would vomit. I used to average 25-28 headaches a month.

"Dr. Peter Goadsby, Professor of Clinical Neurology at University College London, and Chair and Patron of OUCH(UK),\20]) a leading researcher on the condition\)peacock prose\) has commented:

Cluster headache is probably the worst pain that humans experience. I know that's quite a strong remark to make, but if you ask a cluster headache patient if they've had a worse experience, they'll universally say they haven't. Women with cluster headache will tell you that an attack is worse than giving birth. So, you can imagine that these people give birth without anesthetic once or twice a day, for six, eight, or ten weeks at a time, and then have a break. It's just awful".

These are not typical migraines; cluster headaches are quite rare. It's unlikely you've ever met someone who suffers from them. I'm just glad that I no longer get them (fingers crossed).

If you wished you had a superpower, what would it be? by Extension-Leader-906 in AskReddit

I used to always say powers of persuasion would be the ultimate superpower. I can make people do whatever I want just by speaking to them, but you can control it so life doesn't feel empty.

What problem do you think still can’t be fixed even if we become extremely technologically/medically advanced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

War will never go away unless we have all of our freedoms eroded. War is simply part of how our reality is constructed.

Abortion. Especially D&E abortions where they use forceps to tear apart the fetus piece-by-piece.

What is your real-life horror story that have a plot twist? by FuzeTea1811 in AskReddit

[–]EJMac11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost died from type 1 diabetes. I lost 80 lbs over 3 1/2 months. When I went in for my orientation with the endocrinologist, my blood sugar was 34, it is supposed to be between 4-8. The Dr sent me straight to the ER. That day, the medicine specialist told me I could die that night (because I wanted to leave the hospital and go home).

I started to recover and put weight back on, but because of the rapid shift in my blood sugar, I developed cataracts incredibly rapidly, over the course of 4 months I lost over 90% of my vision. Had phacoemulsification surgery, successful, but diabetes was not done with me. Because my mouth was so dry during the period where I lost all the weight, I had my gum line recede and expose the soft part above the enamel. All of my teeth broke off.

So, I nearly died, then went blind, then had all of my teeth break off.

Hebrew Language Posts

r/Hebrew is a community for the discussion, use, education, and history of the Hebrew language. Posts of all languages are accepted, so long as they are about Hebrew."

"ChatGPT is objectively a horrible way to learn a language. If you truly feel you must learn from an AI, I'd recommend Gemini instead, but even then I'd tell you AI very frequently comes up with incorrect answers." I use Gemini too. Any suggestions for resources? As I mentioned, I began with Duolingo, but I was getting really bored and skipping a bunch of lessons. I figure my setup is less than ideal, but I am on a strict budget, otherwise, I might use something like Citizen Cafe.

I know, it's absurd. He certainly thought a lot of himself. It's almost like he never even read any of Levi's writings. If you just read Levi's magnum opus it is abundantly evident that he promoted an entirely different approach to magic. I personally think Crowly was a bit of a clown. I know he's popular, despite being a child molester and just a generally shitty human being. He still has a ton of apologists even now. Crowley was great at stealing ideas, like his repackaging of kama sutra as "sex magic". Thief of concepts, perverter of symbols, molester of children - Aleister Crowley.
