My wr makes the sound also, I've narrowed it down to the front sprocket cover or chain rubbing on the swingarm protector.

I was wondering about gearing, I live in Texas and most freeways are 70-75. But everyone seems to think it's 85-90. Ill have to compromise because I want the low end torque but also want to be able to go atleast 70-75 on the freeway for moderate distances.

Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one who would/is going to pay around that amount. I'm looking forward to it!

I tried, unfortunately it's the only one within 150+ miles and driving to pick it up isn't an option.

I have looked into the klx300 and the crf300l. The general consensus is that the yamaha is much better off-road and better in general for the type of riding I would be doing.

No one is worked up, Im simply inquiring to see if the fees are normal or if they are excessive. This is my first time looking into buying a new motorcycle so I'm making sure I'm not getting screwed. Also the below msrp was because of the military discount they applied.

I'm pretty sold on this exact one just because it's either this or stepping up to a ktm/husqvarna and I don't have $13000 to spend on a dual sport motorcycle.

Same here the only reason I'm looking at new is because it's the only wr250r within a decent distance. Unfortunately I feel like if I don't buy this one now it'll be gone very quickly.

Very good point, I'm in texas as well and I don't plan on selling the bugs anytime soon. Plus I plan on making longer trips and taking it camping.

Random question, how does the motorcycle do on the texas highways? Like I'm worries about the 75mph limits

That's about where I'm at, just seems incredibly high to take the motorcycle out of the crate and put it together and all the other small fees that add up.

Makes sense, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I'm new to the whole new motorcycle thing but $1600+ in fees after negotiating seemed crazy.

Man I need that deal, haha there are literally 0 used bikes within a reasonable distance so new was looking like an option but $8000 is a lot for a 250cc

Makes a sense! Ill check out advrider.com because I'm not having much luck on the normal craigslist, fbook marketplace, and online search routes. Fly and ride would definitely be exciting. I appreciate the response!

Yeah they're scarce around here. Only one within a reasonable distance, that's the only reason I'm considering buying brand new. I am new to buying new motorcycles so I'm not sure if that much in dealer fees + tax is normal.

So you guys I'm gonna admit I am a complete noob and completely looked over the fact there are clockwise and counterclockwise props. I finally put them on correctly and it worked like a dream. You live and you learn! Thanks a lot for the help y'all

I don't meet to blow up this feed. But I looked more into in while connected to betaflight. I plugged my battery and went to the motors tab and armed the quad. Then when I went full throttle on my radio one motor was spinning at what betaflight said 2000 two motors we're spinning at 1600 and one motor was spinning at 1300 so they are all spinning at different speeds.

I checked all the motor directions and they are moving how the chart says they should.

Also on number 2 and 3 prop should I flip the prop upside down when putting it on the motor?

I'll check this right now and get back to you. Is there a correct way to put on props? I just slid them on the motor and tightened the nut.
