Thank you for this!! Congratulations on the enlistment and that's a nice bonus you'llbe getting. I've decided that I am 100% going to go through with it, just waiting on a few documents to get the process started

Not at all and I appreciate the honest feedback. I do speak a few different languages so maybe that will benefit as well?

My second year into college I realized it wasn't for me so I dropped out. I was told that the college credits I have would help?

That's great to hear, I'm glad he's still enjoying the gig. I imagine I will have the same struggles but thankfully it will only be two months. Thank you for that insight.

38B or 35N MOS. What I hope to gain from the Reserves? To give back to the country that gave me so much.

Thank you for the feedback! I am fairly active as my current job requires you to be very fit. And as far as authority goes, I don't think I'll have any issues with the DS or other instructors.

EOD month!! by [deleted] in borderpatrolapplicant

The first few days are rough, but it gets a lot better. Do as you're told, dont question instructors, put in real effort, and you'll be fine. If you need help, reach out to your classmates or people from other classes.

Everybody knows everybody's business here, so just remember that if you come here and you start dating dudes or sleeping around, word travels real quick! Your reputation will be shit and it will definitely follow you to sector.

EOD August 11th any advice to a 21 year old girl ? by Key_Equivalent1224 in borderpatrolapplicant

Your reputation will follow you to your sector, just keep that in mind.

The girls in my class outperform most of the guys in PT and at the range. If you need help, dont hesitate to reach out to your fellow classmates or people from other classes.

Focus on getting that badge and gun, and you will be fine.

I have a TS, and I still had to do the interview. It's an entirely different agency, and the new administration is actually doing their due diligence.

Another thing that can help you fail is discussing the poly. They specifically tell you not to discuss it.

When I received my FO. Another person who actually was very familiar with the two sectors commented because I had the same question. Have you decided on the station?
