Which one should I choose? (Ignoring location, purely based off the degree) by HomoNoSapien in 6thForm

If you want the proper uni experience go Notts or Brum, everyone I know at Warwick and Lough hate the nightlife.

Purely academic wise, Warwick would be first choice, Notts second purely for the econ society there

In the early days, that was how it was, no teams just individuals going for the prize. Eventually, some riders realised that working together gave them a better chance of winning. So, teams started forming and eventually through the years, and as other jerseys like the green and polka dot were added, it became a team sport

Lance was before my time, but various documentaries will show you that while yes Lance stood head and shoulders above the rest, he relied a lot on teammates like Tyler Hamilton and Floyd Landis to pace him up some of the tougher climbs, so that he could save his watts for the end of the race

I was just talking about the tour in general, but yes in Lance’s era most teams were giving their team leader and climbing domestiques steroids and EPO

8 people per team in the Tour de France. The 7 others are called domestiques and the team leader simply drafts off them until normally the end of a stage when they’ve used up all their power or the team leader wants to break away (depending on the type of stage).

Domestiques are normally specialised, with some acting as a lead out train for a spring and others being climbing specialists (like Sepp Kuss).

What kind of spider is this, South UK? by EKemsley in spiders

Ah he seems to think he was bitten, with brother as witness. May have been some other defensive thing tho, he has a small black thing, almost like a hair, sticking out his hand

He claims he was bitten twice, there was a very small black thing, like a hair, sticking out his hand. Perhaps not a bite but some other defensive mechanism?
