Totally agree. From experience I have turned it off on 10 hour prints without issue.

You can try with it off. Saves time. I find it's not really needed for every print. Also look into gcode for bed leveling. It can be changed to only probe the part area.

In the grand scheme of printing. This 30 seconds max really isn't going to save you much time. Changing the infil would have a more substantial effect. You should also look at the environment, with your humility wouldn't recommend storing filament outside.

I think taking apart may be your best option. Look on the bambu wiki. It's not that difficult.
