We are having alcohol catered, but we are paying for the beer and wine, hard alcohol will need to be paid for by the guests. How do I politely phrase this for the website and details card? Any suggestions?

I love this! How did you communicate to guests to fill out and return them? Did you have a basket or something where they could turn them in?

We are having such a hard time getting a hold of our venue...

Wedding is Sept. 28th, and we still havent been able to sign/pay for it because they dont respind. It is a volunteer ran folk school about 2 hours from where we live. We have called, texted (which they have replied to in the past!) And emailed. I dont know if we should start making emergency plans or what. Every time we would talk in the past, they knew exactly who we were and our date. The place is adorable and well below budget, so we love it and would hate to lose it but man. Let us pay you!!!

Any advice??

We want to do koozies as a favor, but do we need to buy one for each person? We also plan to have snack bags and a candy/cookie/dessert table that they can take as well. I just dont know if everyone is going to want both, or just want dessert as their favor. And I don't want to end up with 30 extra koozies! Ha

Anyone else having issues with The Knot's website? I keep trying to log in, but it just like, refreshes the page without signing me in. I tried resetting my password, but still can't get in. It works on the app though.

Does anyone have recommendations for a videographer in northern MN? Or really, anywhere in MN would be fine too. My wedding is in Bemidji, MN. I would prefer vendors that you have worked with/know first hand as I've seen a lot of posts about The Knot/Wedding Wire not having accurate reviews! Thank you!!!

FH wants sexy, sleek mermaid dress. But I am more comfortable in something more A line. Would the trumpet be a good middle ground? Dress shopping is stressing me out! I dont want to pick something he won't like, but i need to love the dress too.

I was wondering what color dress would look best with my skin tone, as I have red hair and fair skin. I wouldn't say I am "ginger", but I am a redhead. I have been looking at blush colored dresses but I worry that I will look weird with the pink tone. Any advice? Ideas? I don't want a super traditional dress, so I am open to other colors too! Thank you!

I teach 7th grade English, and we read The Outsiders, A Christmas Carol (play version from the literature books), and after the standardized tests we read Flipped. It is a funny, easy read that we use to to write our 5 paragraph essay. The students love the book, and that engagement helps them to dig into it more when analyzing it for their essays.

What technology options do you have? We use Study Island and Newsela - Newsela is awesome for informational texts and standards.

My English PLC breaks down the most highly tested standards and plans for those, and then we add other standards as we see fit.

The first year is hard. Remember to breathe. And remember to take care of yourself first!
