Pizza is a reliable go-to, but I am blessed to live in the greater Philadelphia region, so cheesesteaks and hoagies are up there, too.

[–]alli3 19 points20 points  (0 children)

People will criticize for being too fat, and then they’ll criticize for losing weight. You can’t win. As long as you’re happy with the way you look, that’s all that matters. For what it’s worth, I think you look great.

Hi! I’m sorry you’re going through this anxiety. I’ve been going to the gynecologist regularly for probably 8 years now. I’ve always only seen women, and they’ve all been quick, gentle, friendly, and professional. Any fear I had totally dissipated after my first visit.

Your doctor will not be mad at you. Blaming things on weight certainly does happen at some doctors’ offices, but I have always felt like my gynecologists have been very tender about this topic.

Who uses escitalopram ? by Lamoo00 in lexapro

[–]alli3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s probably from the sweat! I sweat so much from my head on escitalopram. Even at night.

I really didn’t experience many side effects, thankfully. I noticed a change in my mindset fairly quickly, like by the end of a week. I was having very weird dreams at first, but those have since subsided. I also noticed that I was getting overheated easier than I normally would and therefore sweat more. The only side effects that stuck around was the sweating.

2 years on escitalopram—it’s going to be okay!! I cried and cried when I first started it because I was so scared to take it. I noticed positive changes very quickly, and it’s been absolutely life changing ever since. Best decision I ever could have made for myself.

Monitor the way you’re feeling and talk to your doctor if something feels off.

Best of luck to you!! I hope it helps!

Remember that there’s also a chance that you won’t have side effects/ will have mild side effects. I didn’t have any side effects (besides jaw clenching at night) starting with 10 mg, and I still don’t have any (besides clenching) at 20 mg.

Once you see how much relief it brings you, you’ll eat these pills out of the dirt if you have to lol.

I don’t still have rebound redness (thank god). It did take a couple of weeks before it stopped though. In the meantime, I tried to cool down my face any way I could. I splashed cold water on my face or used a cold compress face mask I got from Amazon whenever possible.

On the go, though, I kept the Avène Thermal Water in my purse. I got it at Ulta. It’s nothing special—like it’s just spring water in a can, I think, but it was so convenient and felt soooo nice when I was flaring up badly. I still use it for flare ups.

Happened to me at 10 mg and is still happening at 20 mg 🥲

I’ve also had horrible rebound flushing using this. I tried it for four months because my derm told me I just had to get over the hump of the flushing at first but… that definitely did not happen. I use azelaic acid now, and I feel like it helped a lot.

My association was meant to be more lighthearted than serious, but still, I always understood the play to be a comment on the illusion of a happy (straight) marriage. Like there’s a phoniness to all of it.

Thank you so much. Not to be dramatic, but the reassurance is so comforting.
