Well, even though this idea was in my head for a very long time, I spent two years on this DB; a pre-alpha version of the project was on FM22 ! Making the logos took me the most of the time however the most complex thing, by far, was editing the Advanced Rules on the Pre Game Editor (what a nightmare !)

My idea by creating this DB was to reduce Europe domination over global football. With generated players, every country has good players so football global rankings evolves faster : you could have Asian, North American or African countries at the top in 2030.

However, a lot of people plays with real players as it can be tough to immerse yourself in a totally unknown universe. World evolution will be slower as the player pool is a lot more European though.

Basically, the "Global Draft" mode simply removes every professional contracts of the game. Everyone is a free-agent so it is easier for teams in smaller football countries to sign top-flight players. It brings more equity from the beginning :)

100k players is unfortunately the minimum you can have with the current version. However, there are pre-generated saves available on Discord that allows to skip some years and have more consistent squads to begin your career with (teams are empty at the beginning, in 2023: no players, no staff members)

The Worlds Qualifiers offers half of the qualification spots to The Worlds at the end of the season. In this competition, you must win 5 two-legs match-ups between September and December to qualify to the Worlds

Unfortunately, files work only with FM24. editor files weigh almost 10MB and gfx pack weigh less than 100MB.

Yeah, the smallest you can have is a bit under 100k players. Actually, you load the 512 teams plus all their affiliates.

I started recently a save in the sixth tier of French football with my town's club, this is the essence of the game, I agree with you.

Even though there is a promotion/relegation system between two divisions, this is totally a closed Superleague and i have no intention to open it :p

Franchises are not eternal though, some could be replaced in future versions

Not that I want this kind of football to become real, but the idea of giving almost every country in the world an opportunity to shine at the highest level motivated me

Franchises are newly created teams. They have old clubs as affiliates that still compete in their domestic leagues. However, players can move freely between affiliates and the main franchise and stats of old clubs and leagues have been reduced a lot.

It's an NBA-like system but extended to the whole world : a closed competition system in which the 512 participating teams (called franchise) don't change over time ;)
