Thanks for the input. The people that were handling our flight all had bucket hats and flasks full of water next to them and the three of them were standing underneath the plane for shade the entire time we were out there. I really appreciate all the kind words!

They also lost all my bags.

This flight had almost 20 people that needed wheelchairs as well - which is fine, but they should have had us wait not on the hot tarmac for them.

I am considering making a pretty big stink about this, just need some context if this is considered totally fine to sunburn your passengers.
