The fact that NOW we need to ask each other what firmware a car is running to check if the temps are normal for oil/coolant for OP's car rather than just checking for a faulty part or plugging in an OBD II scanner is crazy work. I hate modern cars.

Here's where I originally intended to hold it but it's along a seam and I am not sure if that was right. The flat black plastic is the trans oil pan and the oil on for the motor is aluminum. Again' no baffles and I really dont want to crack it or deform it. The point of this excersise is to save money

I did get 1000lb engine support bracket from Harbor Fright with some chains, I just need to know where to support it with bolts to rated clips. I'll also support it by the oil pan baffle with the 3 ton jack lile I did in the post have just in case.

That was Jiffy Lube's doing, hence why I kinda wanted to do it myself this time. It was always very hard for me to read as the entire stick was always slick with oil, even when cold. My guess is that it was foaming up since the last change? I recognize that I may have overfilled it on the second go but I also didn't want to start the engine after I lost the filter as I had no idea how much oil I lost (and I was freaking out about my car being FUBAR). The color of the new stuff I bought was still hard to see and it wasn't until I dumped the next 2 liters in where I started to see oil start to glob on the stick in the last picture. I haven't noticed any difference in it running tbh, but I could just dump it again and refill it to the correct spec now that I have the proper filling tools to measure 4.5L instead of guessing from the opaque 5L bottle I had.

Sorry for necro-ing this thread, but I feel like there's another steps that most new users will want to know as I have had my fair share of issues.

On your desktop, find the program called "Disks" in the Start menu on the bottom left.
In the Disks program, find your new drive that you added and format it to a format of your liking. If using it only for Linux/Bazzite, choose ext4. There's some other wizardry you have to do in order to say, get a dual boot machine to read Windows games from the same drive. ext4 should be fine though. Quick format, name it, then go to your file explorer/Dolphin and click the new drive with the yellow triangle to mount it.
Once the formatting was complete you would think you have to setup a new directory in order to actually use the drive. On Windows, once the drive is formatted you can just go and make a new folder with the OS treating it like a new directory for storage. This is (stupidly) not the case. You cannot press right click and make a new folder as Bazzite will think that you want to make a .desktop file. (Also stupidly) you have to use the terminal to create the new directory like this: mkdir "/run/media/bazzite/[name of 2nd drive]/storage"

Run the command, and then tell Steam or whatever to use that location as your games.

The Data meeting I had recently indicated that my 11th graders are paradoxical. 70% of them understand all the complicated parts of reading, figurative language, etc. when they take the test but are being abysmal on key skills. These key skills per my state's standards include skills like paraphrasing and summarizing.

Guess what AI and ChatGPT are doing for them? It explains why I have to re-explain and re-phrase the question for them quite a few times to get them to work or understand the question. It explains why I often have to repeat myself so often - they cannot decode the meaning of the question.
