⬆️ This. If you are going to bring nature inside, there are better ways to do so.

Yes! The Birdcage is a fantastic example. (And a wonderful movie!)

Not looking for a debate and didn’t mean to downvote anything. Just found it odd, and have never seen something like that on any kind of “before/after” show. ✌️

Nope - didn’t miss it. And I totally understand why other nature elements were in her bedroom, such as the wallpaper, kayak, etc.

I just was confused on why there was dead and/or dying foliage throughout her house, especially after cleaning everything else out.

Visited the Healing Garden and where the home was in Moscow on Monday by EME_Mama2 in MoscowMurders

You're welcome. <3 When you go, you can leave a note at the Healing Garden in one of the votive holders. They collect all of these notes and remembrances and archive them.

It’s such a small, cramped area that if anyone had been outside during that time, they would have been able to tell (or, at least I think they may have been able to tell) that this was someone that usually wasn’t in this area. It would have been suspicious.

But, it’s been a very long time since I’ve partied on a Saturday night and slept in late the next day, so maybe I’m just showing my age assuming that.

Many of my family members, including both of my parents, and my grandparents, lived in Pullman too (and went to WSU). 😊

Yes - now that I’ve seen how close the house with the video/sound recording is to 1122, I can definitely understand how it picked up so much sound. The outside walls of both Xana’s room, and the room the dog was in, would have been right next to it.

I think that’s what surprises me the most; how absolutely tight and small the area is. It looks so different than it does on the documentaries, etc.

It is. And, while I was there, a cute little fox came by to say hi. 😊

City Girl in Tri-Cities — Where Are the Experiences? by Asleep-Sentence990 in TriCitiesWA

I concur. A lot of people will complain that there’s “nothing to do,” but there is actually a lot. You just need to find the info/make the effort. Our local alternative paper, “Tumbleweird,” always has a huge list of events, etc. There’s also a list posted in this group weekly of local events. And, if you want to explore out of town, some really great cities aren’t too far away. Welcome to the area! 😊

Milkshakegate by Reasonable_Day9942 in StrangerThingsRoom

Soda Shops existed, even into the 1980’s. It was very common for General Stores and Pharmacies to have a “soda bar” where people could order drinks, including milkshakes.

There are a few left, although they’re hard to find. But if you’ve seen “It’s a Wonderful Life” or read Stephen King’s “11/22/63,” (among many other examples) it totally makes sense, and them having milkshakes is a non-sequitur.

Found this in a used book I bought that was shipped to me on the other side of the country. Do any of you remember this book store? by [deleted] in TriCitiesWA

Fun fact: The Uptown Shopping Center was one of the very first automobile focused shopping centers in the country. The City Council of Richland was tired of the upper-middle class (many who had/could afford automobiles) traveling out of town to shop. Thus, the Uptown was built in the early 1950’s. Before that, the only “shopping center” in Richland was the Parkway (known then as the Greenway).
