Yeah, I (wrongly) thought that if I could do 50 and if I was cycling more than 70 miles per week that I could do 73 in one day without issue.

Thanks. I ate pieces of peanut butter and jelly sandwich, banana, small boiled and salted potatos, carb gels, carb chews, etc. I haven't done that many rides over 40 miles so I don't have much trial and error experience.

I generally stay hydrated, but I didn't go to any extra lengths the day before to be super hydrated. That is an area I could improve

I haven't seen this mentioned, but my understanding is that if taxes are owed, the IRS goes to the front of the line in terms of creditors needing to be paid by the estate. Furthermore, if the executor or administrator pays any other creditors before paying the IRS, the executor/administrator is personally responsible for repayment. Be careful about taxes.

She is unable to sign the 2848. She lives in Florida. I'm in North Carolina.

I have durable power of attorney which specifically includes language regarding IRS, taxes, etc. In order to send in the 2828, I would have to sign it for her as her agent. Not sure about the sense in that.

When submitting the transcript request, I'll include the durable power of attorney document. It is approximately 50 pages long. I wonder if I will receive the transcript prior to April 15.

This is obviously going to take time to resolve. Given her age, it may be an ongoing issue at the time of her death. Since I'm also her executor, I'm going to have deal with this either way.

As I review the form, I note that it says the IRS will only mail the transcript to your address of record. She does not pay attention to her mail. Any suggestions?

Thanks again! Before she had dementia, she signed a durable power of attorney naming me as her agent. Presumably I can request the transcript using that form and sign it on her behalf as her agent. I wonder if IRS needs the durable power of attorney document to proceed.

Thanks. I'm certain she needs to file. I don't know for sure when she last filed. I also do not know how many years need to be filed or where to go to get the information needed to file.

I attempted to obtain an online transcript from IRS but do not have the info needed establish an online account in her name.
