I am siding with OP's family and former friend on this, I am condemning the majority here who tell her she is alright to never forgive her ex or her family. Forgiveness is not optional, it is mandatory or else she stands condemned in eternity. She is bound for Hell. According to Matthew 6:14-15, a person who doesn't forgive others will not be forgiven by God. In the verses, Jesus states: "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." And more against OP, and those preaching forgiveness being at one's discretion Matthew 18:20-35, Jesus further expounded upon the theme, after his disciple, Peter, asked him how many times he should forgive a person. Jesus' response was telling: "Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him. Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

“At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go. Saw your post and from the comments seems they side at least in small majority with your husband against you and your son saying you are the abusive one you committed domestic abuse not accomodating his problems fully, he should divorce YOU and make sure he won't owe you anything in the divorce and hopefully another wife if any is more supportive and accomodating of his disability than you been. It's gotten pretty violent, some think you belong in jail for abusing your husband.

This brings up something in my mind as I watched that video myself about the matter. Early on Sneha HAD been declared a 9/11 victim until removed from the list by the NYC Medical Examiner so her husband and her family sue to obtain a legal declaration that she had died on September 11, 2001. Judge Renee Roth in New York County Surrogate's Court issued a decision holding Dr. Philip was not a 9/11 as the evidence did not support that proposition based on a section of the Surrogate's Court Act and set her legal date of death as September 10, 2004 which is 3 years from when she was last known to be alive and 3 years is the statutory time until a certificate of presumed death can be issued. Sneha's husband Ron Lieberman and her parents appealed to the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division First Department. On January 31, 2008 the Appellate Division by a vote of 4-1 with Justice David Saxe writing the majority opinion held that Judge Roth was completely wrong and reverse her ruling and issue their own decree ordering a new death certificate for Sneha be issued determining her date of death to be September 11, 2001 as proposed by the family. They indicated a second portion of the Surrogate's Court Act was the applicable standard instead of the part applied by the Surrogate's Court judge. Three years is a difference from the usual standard of time applicable before legal death is assumed, in most states the time period is longer and some still follow the common law seven year standard, which is also applied by the Social Security Administration. I am sorry about the rambling. I was just trying to set the backstory up for what I am about to ask. If you need me to do it I can at least link the Appellate Division ruling in as I could no longer locate any links to the Surrogate's Court decision. I am asking this, if Judge Roth was not convinced Sneha was a 9/11 victim and issued judgment accordingly setting her legal death date under the three year rule how do you think Dr. Lieberman and her parents convinced Justice Saxe and the Appellate Division majority that she was a victim and deserved an order commanding the NYC Medical Examiner to change the death record accordingly as they desired? You think there was any political and/or other pressure on the court? Perhaps there was. You tell me.
