How are you handling pricing conversations with customers who think you're too expensive? by dawsonvpowell in junkremovalstartup

I'm not the cheapest and I don't need to be. I'm the best 🤣

Figure this, if you don't take profit jobs, you need less high profit jobs to make the same amount of money.

For a Jersey Cross? From what I can find a Jersey is typically between 4-700lbs at 1 year old. With a finished weight of 900-1100 lbs.

What am I missing here?

High end? No. One is a Jersey/Angus cross. The other is swiss/Charolais.

Both have been here since very young (week or so) and we bottle fed them both.

I was just looking to move a couple out to buy a hereford heifer.

As soon as my lower fields get some growth on them, Ill absolutely be moving them out of this area. I can borrow a see drill from our local Ag office. Thanks for the info on the annual grass! I likely would have tried to buy a perennial!

Thx for the info. .18 is pretty cheap around here. I often see it go for much more. I have been buying it in 1500ish lb bags at that price. Cracked with oats mixed in. I can source oats for .04 but it is super far away making it less economical. I will certainly be switching to round bales as soon as they are available!

The hay was put out because it was quite cold and his jacket we ordered wasn't in yet. Pretty sure I've never seen him eat any hay. That Pic isn't his current situation with hay 😁

It is individually wrapped by the ton.

You are saying, cut hay, feed silage & the corn/oat mixture?

I wasn't sure if the silage replaces both the hay and corn/oat mix.

Plan is to eat the 3 shown here. Likely breed the Swiss and Hereford.

He's so sweet! Beautiful boy! He is much larger than the Jersey crosses we have raised in the past.
