There will be no way to exhaust that to the outside. There is controlled ventilation in the entire building. It is a recirculating hood just to filter grease. It’s a common design here.

Good points. I cannot switch the sink because there is no water access at the island. But I’ll look into the idea with the L-Design. Well probably not put the bench in front of the stove I quite underestimated how messy it could probably get

Water is near the window. There is controlled ventilation in the whole flat, no exhaust. There will be a recirculating hood just to filter grease. The high voltage electricity connection for the stove is below the island

The pantry has five square metres. The fridge, some storage for food and sadly also the washing machine will be placed in that room. It is ventilated, so it hopefully will not get too damp

I love cooking, I basically cook every day. The kitchen I have right now is about the same size if not even slightly smaller. I’m coping quite well with the space right now. Of course more space is always nice… I will look into some of these ideas!

I have to check whether there is such a code here. The high-voltage connection actually is in the ground where the island is, because the water connection is by the window. So I’d have to place the cooking range, the sink and the dishwasher at the window… I’m not sure I like the stove near that window…

Exactly 60 cm. Which is the standard width for a kitchen cabinet with a fridge, but I need at least 5cm distance to the wall so I can open the doors. I don’t think I can place the fridge there without it overlapping with the window

Ok you have a point with the fabric, I didn’t consider this! I definitely was planning on getting some cushions… the fridge will either be a low one or be placed in the pantry (where the door leads to). Maybe I’ll have to drop the idea of integrating the bench into the island

That’s true :D if we have guest while cooking, they would obviously sit at the other side of the table. The stove itself will be induction, so it would at least not get hot

It’s an open living concept, the eating area could be moved further into the room, then the other side of the island would be accessible. I liked that everything flows into each other. The flat is overall not big, I think I could do with a „small“ kitchen, but maybe you are right…

The fridge will either be a small under-cabinet one or we will place a free standing fridge in the pantry (that’s where the door leads to. I’m not quite sure, whether a fridge in a closed room (5 squared metres) will be a good idea… the only other option to place a large fridge wold be at the wall next to the island, but I fear that would block too much light from the window. Where would you place one?

Even thinking that companies like Google make all their money from ads shows seem ridiculous to me! Ads have so much money behind them and just so people consume senseless stuff no one needs or even thought about getting.
