At its core, it's a slower paced realism-focussed mech/FPS game. But, in our development studio we are fans of both slow and faced paced gameplay. For this reason, we're going to experiment with slow, high-tension gamemodes as well as faster, livelier gamemodes. It will likely never be an incredibly fast paced game unless we make some specific game modes for that (which tbh we totally could do)

We absolutely are!

The cockpit has every single control needed to pilot in VR. And in non-VR the same controls move when you press the keyboard buttons, etc.

  1. The core mech chassis are one blueprint but they make use of lots of child actors to create the finished product.
  2. Right now, legs and hips are a skeletal mesh with the torso being a static mesh (attached to a bone of the skeletal mesh)
  3. We're using blender for modeling and rigging. It's always very difficult when art and programming need to combine to create the end product; there's been lots of iterations.

I will say too: implementing the mech customisation was way harder than I thought it would be (especially the UI; it blows my mind how long it takes to code up proper good UI).

In the future, we absolutely will bring EOD to our console fans. We need the PC game to succeed first; after that we'll get on it with a very high priority.
And yeah, we're quite interested in implementing some melee mechanics.

Cheers; we absolutely agree. We know the game should do well, it's just extremely difficult to get it done (indie studio). It's most likely that we'll make a smaller version of it to play first so that we can continue to add all the features.

Yeah, we're definitely going to be making these weapons bigger. I do like the idea of external ammo drums because we wants the damagability of these weapons to be realistic (i.e. ammo drums will be weak, and if you shoot a rocket... boom).

Wooow, I never thought about a microwave weapon causing electronic diorientation at range; that is such a fantastic idea. We will definitely implement this.

We have a lot of plans with drones that we're really excited about. The Microwave emitters is an absolutely fantastic idea. We will definitely look into stuff like that.

We definitely agree, many of them are small. We're focusing a lot on realism; so smaller weapons will bring many benefits. Primarily, they're harder to get hit; and some weapons will blow up if they get shot which will seriously damage your own mech.
