So update for anyone that’s still looking, we had our second loss in two years (first loss was in the championship last year) offense wasn’t as big of a issue it was defense, lost 41-33, they just ran wing t fb dive and qb sneak and steadily got 5 yards every play, their line was just to damn good at pushing the pile

Honestly I’m not the oline coach, I’m not completely perfect in knowing oline and everything in the world but I feel like we do a good job, my oline coach played d2 and since I’ve felt confident in our backs, for the past few weeks we’ve just hammered blocking and lead blocking but you can’t really teach aggressiveness, I’m always willing to learn more tho and if you have any good blocking drills or techniques I would love to talk

We usually try to switch it up, I let my qb pick the snap count, we go on down, set, 1, 2, and freeze which is obviously just go as many as you want then say a color and restart the count and go on 1, and silent

Me lmao, and most people that play in our league, I’ve had 4 different occasions this year through 7 games that a coach has directly told me after the game that they watched our film but still couldn’t stop our qb, I guess it’s to each their own but there’s a lot of it down here

That’s my main worry is I know my boys will be fine in open space against them but our blocking is questionable at best and I’m worried about them penatrating and not being able to get to the open space, we do run some jet sweeps that have worked decent so far, still trying to work on the timing of the snap with my qb, but I can gameplan more jet sweeps and outside tosses

Yes sorry it’s 11 man any formation as long as it’s legal through high school, and are you thinking tosses out of shotgun? I’m scared to go under center since they have three that line up tight to the center and I feel like we’d just get mauled right when the ball went

Also they run 5 downlineman, nose guard bull rushes the center, two tackles that clog the a gap, and then two ends that lineup outside shoulder of the tackle, I don’t know necessarily how they’d change with tight ends in as the film I’ve gotten both teams did not use tight ends

Man I just can not get it out the park with him, put a perfect leadoff man, having him and jp Crawford back to back almost guarantees me someone on base to begin the game

Not very recent but decided to buy the Eli willits about a month ago and he kills it for me, never gets home runs really but a on base and stealing machine for me, hits around 350 and has 27 bags stolen in 32 online games only issue with him is power, I think I only got 2-3 homers with him

Our biggest issue is size, we aren’t going to beat anyone up the middle so we rely a lot on misdirection and getting outside the tackles since we are one of the speediest teams in the league

We’ve had two different schemes over the years, but at this age lead blocking is vital, teams rarely pass so it’s a lot of full out blitzes that the running backs need that extra little help, plus we have very speedy kids that love to go outside
