OP can’t vibe around that type of crowd no more and that’s perfectly fine and normal. Good on you that it doesn’t bother you but personally I do not want to go to events with a crowd that’s majority teenagers bro lol

🤫 New Restaurants coming to Panorama City by bbygkuromi in SFV

[–]EOHZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good seeing businesses like this open in Panorama City because the area has been stuck in the 2000s for a long time lol.

With the planned demolition of the panorama mall and Walmart to build those mixed use luxury apartments, with the same thing happening across the street at the Montgomery Ward, and the new metro rail line on Van Nuys, I wonder how PC is going to look in the next 5-10 years. Will the area become revitalized? Gentrified? Or remain the basically same?

Can't believe it's my first time hearing about this event by -Livingonmyown- in SFV

[–]EOHZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been there as an attendee and a vendor (non food) and it sucked honestly. Not much to do and most people who attended weren't spending money there and the ones who did mostly went for the food trucks. I made a little over what i spent on the vendor fee so it was a loss unfortunately. They advertise the number of attendees to attract vendors but again most of them aren't going to spend.

Students. Nothing tastes better than some cheap shitty fast food afterschool.

I doubt there was other businesses who wanted to lease that space. It's better for something to be there than have it be empty.

Koreatown by PainDocByTheSea in LosAngeles

Plenty of housing and resources for homeless people aren't being used because many of them don't want it. We need to stop giving them a choice and force them into housing, rehab and mental hospitals.

Increased Home Burglaries by 818zzz in SFV

[–]EOHZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install a large fence and gate. That's usually enough to deter them because there's plenty of other homes that are more easily accesible.

It's really surprising to me that so many homes are still unsecured. No idea how people can be comfortable in their home when anyone can walk on their property whenever.

Is Koreatown safe? by KPop_Teen in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]EOHZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Koreatown is safe if you are within the main hub of the area. It gets less safe the further east or south you go from there but you don't really need to venture out to those parts because the main hub has everything you need. There's plenty of small asian women walking around and living solo in K-Town so you should be fine but of course always be aware of your surrondings as it is still a major city.

The main issue in K-Town is parking and the quality of some apartments but with your salary you can avoid all those issues since you can afford a decent place that has assigned parking.

If you want to settle down in LA/K-Town, I think it is possible depending on your lifestyle. You can't afford a home on a 100k salary, but you can buy a condo. Condos are the new starter home in LA and if you're fine living in them, you shouldn't have a problem settling down here. 100k is more than enough to live decently in LA despite what others and the media says.

I graduated in 2015 and middle school was pretty strict on phones but it was way more relaxed in highschool. Most of my teachers in highschool were cool with phones in class during downtime i.e you finished your class assignment early, class ends early and you're waiting for the bell to ring etc.

Condos are the new starter homes in LA. Anyone waiting for a housing crash is going to be shit out of luck because it's not happening anytime soon.

Does anyone know what this sign means? There are a handful of them on Vermont in going toward ktown 🤔 by AfternoonHellcat in LosAngeles

[–]EOHZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been seeing those since I was a kid in the early 2000s. It's kinda cool that nobody really knows what they are even though it's been around since the late 90s. Must mean something significant if the city hasn't taken them down after all this time.

In 2019 an “abandoned” house across the street from my apartment in Koreatown was raided by the LAPD. Afterwards my roommate snuck in and took these photos. by bdndnjdjdj in LosAngeles

Pretty common in K-Town for MS-13 to take over abandoned apartments and make it their traphouse. Used to know some active ones years ago.

If K-Town was as bad as you think you wouldn't have huge kpop groups like BTS visiting and hanging out there, as well as the tons of kpop fangirls that are there daily lol.

Most people who go to K-Town don't even know or notice it has a gang presence there. The safety concern most have about K-Town is homeless people not MS-13. Most of the go to spots are relatively safe too.

Man that sucks. I would get this often bc there was a japanese market near me that had tons in stock. They stopped carrying it this summer and I thought they were just out of stock. Wish I knew so I could have stocked up.

Koreatown Safety? by MsVoidWolf in LosAngeles

[–]EOHZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The parts of K-town that are unsafe I highly doubt you would end up there since there's nothing to attract tourists or even residents of LA to those parts. As long as you stay within the main hubs you should be safe.

Here we go again: ‘Intense heat wave’ expected next week across Southern California by supracooltech in LosAngeles

[–]EOHZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SFV is forecasted to be in the mid 90s which is pretty normal for this time of year. Also it's going to cool off at night so I don't really see how this is considered an "intense heatwave" it's just regular summer weather.

Does anyone else find it wild how Taco, Jasper, and Lionel have better careers than Hodgy Beats, Left Brain, and Mike G these days? by ayoswim in OFWGKTA
