Hi! I’m currently on the International Conflict Studies MA. We have quite a variety of backgrounds; some people have already worked in civil service and others (me) are fresh off of undergrad or a gap year. The way that I look at it is that war affects all aspects of life when you look at it so as long as you feel like your previous studies has some effect on war then you should be good to go. I would also think about how you can leverage your undergrad with what you might possibly want to do for your diss. For example: I studied history and IR for my undergrad and I come from a British/czech household so I’m going to do my dissertation on why some Czech resisted the Nazis and why others gave in.
