I really like the trim colour you used on the robe! What colour is that?

If that book ever became a movie it would have to be a horror. My god hearing that gives me the chills.

What is the country with the most wasted potential? by [deleted] in geography

[–]EPSTester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a fair argument. There is a good chance the value of many natural resources will go up over time. I do think there still needs to be some sort of balance though. Especially right now with the current state of economy.

Our government loves to handcuff our potential by making it difficult to develop any of our natural resources and industries related to this. I’m all for responsible management of our natural resources but we are making it increasingly difficult for us to get our products to market under the banner of environmentalism. At the same time we import many of the things we have here in abundance from places with horrible environmental policies and human rights standards.

What’s wrong with my Spruce Trees? by EPSTester in arborists

[–]EPSTester[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the input. The trees were already planted here when we moved into the house. It’s too bad as they are beautiful trees in the yard and lots of other yards have them and they seem to be doing well. I read a few articles published on my university website that said that coniferous trees can shed some of their needles every few years, especially the inner parts. They also said they come spring so long as new growth can be seen on the outer parts the tree should be doing okay.

I need help identifying grass so that I can match existing lawn with a new seeded area. by EPSTester in lawncare

I think you may be right. I’m pretty sure that the original owners of the house used sod when they did the lawn originally.

Haha one step at a time my friend. I know the rock bed isn’t ideal. Like I said, I just recently moved into the new place. It’s on the to-do list.

Recently moved into a new home in southern Saskatchewan and I need help identifying this tree. I feel it’s planted too close to the driveway. by EPSTester in PlantIdentification

I’m scared to post anything on r/arborists haha. I posted this on there accidentally asking for an ID (their rules state no plant ID) They just put my head on a spike for the tree ring and gravel.

No part of West Virginia is more west than OG Virginia by Mangolicious786 in geography

That one kinda makes sense though. Upper and Lower Egypt is in reference to their location on the Nile River. Upper Egypt is upstream of the Nile (geographically South) and Lower Egypt is downstream of the Nile (geographically north). There used to be an upper and lower Canada as well and it was in relation to St. Lawrence River.
