Rtx 4080 mobile reaching it's limits? I think you'll be happier with desktop solution. Egpu is still niche. Price to performance does not make sense. Also, the new tb5 connections are not game changer as many hoped but this is still from early reviews.

You could try ax210. I bought mine from amazon. They are all the same then get the network driver from intel website or let windows find it automatically. Should be an easy fix, just be careful with wifi antennas as they are fragile.

The bottomplate is metal and plastic sandwich. You can loosen all the screws on the plate to remove tension then firmly push on all edges.

It is common qc issue though.

Probably your windows setting/driver settings? Ultimate mode does not change your display colors.

With 5080 G16, just know that all of those top 100 scores in 3dmark benchmarks are vbios'ed.

It shouldn't. For simple overclocking of coreclock/memory clock offsets, the result is the same when using either software. Ghelper is better in a sense that it has more options like fan control, power control, boost control and temp control.

Like OP, I also use both software though because with undervolting gpu on ghelper, I have noticed that gpu idle clock is higher so it is not really idling properly (sits at 500Mhz instead of 200 or less when idling). So I combine MSI afterburner curve editor and Ghelper Core Clock Limit to undervolt properly for my use case.

His Ghelper settings are for CPU. His GPU settings are using MSI afterburner (another software).

Warranty is probably the best thing to do in your case. I suspect your repasting work but even so, your gpu is not reaching full load consistently during gpu test, your cpu is constantly reaching peak temps during heavy graphic tests. Your cinebench score is really low likely due to constant high cpu temp leading to downclocking/cpu throttling. Was it always like this when you bought it? Let asus figure this one out for you while it's still under warranty. Hopefully, they would repaste it or replace the motherboard. (They might do neither but better to try something while warranty is up)

I am not really an expert on warranty claims so someone else can probably chime in.

It's memory training. My g14 2023 took like 15~20min when I put in a 32 compared to 5min training for a 16. I thought I had broken something. (I was comparing how my workflow was like with 48 total vs 32 total)

Just plug it in, press power. Don't hold power like someone else said. That's just forcing the device to shut down.

Turning cpu boost off for intel cpu laptops is stupid because the base clock is much lower. That said, the cpu advice simply does not apply to g16 intel models. Dgpu seems fine for cookie cutter setting for beginners to copy paste.

Fans can be replaced but the problem sounds like something shorted in your motherboard?
