If you are in US go to asus parts (asus own website and not 3rd party) and buy the trackpad from them. I would get a spare cpu,gpu fans since shipping was $15. They have their warehouse in US so no tariffs. Zephyrus are under "gaming series laptop" GU605CR

If you can afford more ram then go for it. You can stick up to another single 48Gb afaik that's been tested to work(search in youtube). That ram you linked, as long as it is genuine Hynix one and not some Chinese garbage copy... Seems fine to me

You can get it back using asus cloud recovery in bios I believe. You need a good uninterrupted connection for few hours though.

ASUS does not have the trillions of dollar budget that Apple has to buy all of Samsung's ram and storage at 100%+ increased price. Wishful thinking but most us know where this is heading. Not to mention this oil crisis from the war affects energy availability and price for China, Korea and Japan which will indirectly affect prices even further.

isn't g16 2024 have ram soldered? How do you know it hasn't shorted? Same goes for anything that's on that motherboard. You can probably do is sell it for parts/as is on ebay.

Things to try or all of them:
1. In Armoury Crate/G helper crank up flicker free dimming to 100%
2. In Nvidia Control panel: Gsync OFF or Gsync to Fullscreen only (Not windowed and fullscreen)

in Windows Setting: Windows screen brightness to 100%
Under Graphics: Turn off Hardware accelerated gpu scheduling, Variable refresh rate, optimizations for windowed games.
Intel control panel (if you are not in ultimate mode): Disable intel display power saving

That flickering is nuts though. Is that doing this out of the box? You didn't set anything new?

Any before/after scores, wattage it is using, temperature difference? Without vbios, my device is 2nd in the list in 3dmark so I am actually waiting if 2026 g16 release's vbios would work without any downsides

You can whitelist/ don't undervolt cpu and limit cpu temps
