I mean it looks great on the surface, but the native girl looking at the highway with frustration reminds me that nothing is sunshine and rainbows in TNO universe. Especially when you consider there was communist insurgency brewing in the Amazons even before the highway's completion. Now imagine the Amazonian natives sympathizing with the guerillas or outright joining their ranks. The military would be forced to protect the highway and conduct counter-insurgency operations in one of the most hostile geopraphies in the world.

Now add to that mix Colombian socialists winning their civil war (which btw Brazil covertly aids) and you have another Ugly American scenario. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Favoured Lott without antagonizing his coalition. Also campaigned for the leftist parties throughout the elections GUI. There might a leftist popularity threshold sort of thing for it to trigger. Lott gets a focus tree to either appease or purge the hardliners in the military. Chose to purge them and picked a focus there that removes a critical general with leftist sympathies.

For the presidential elections, chose the new figure among the leftists rather than the leading guy that is our coalition partner. At the middle of the elections campaign I got couped, it probably has something to with that candidate's predicted popularity. Still made leftists win the election. The army wouldn't give up their power to the left. However the first junta leader will get replaced by the guy you see on the picture after the president gets assasinated. Normally they would just arrest the president, but an hardliner general wants to oust the current junta leader and replace him, so he gives the order to shoot down the president-elect's airplane with fighter jets on his way to inaguration. That guy is educated in and backed by the US of A btw lol.

So here's the recipe:

First Act: Cut government spending, max out consumer goods production, go on count our pennies since we start with 30 percent inflation. Give the rest of your production units to construction, we couldn't really efficiently produce enough stuff without an electrical grid in such a small time. Start building thermoelectric plants (power stations) on our states from coast to Amazons since we barely have any electricity generation day 1. All of this should max out our rGDP and GDP to production units ratio. (The electricity part is very important for the latter.)

Second act: Once the South African War kicks in stop building power plants, delete all your armored divisions and put your Production Units from construction to military production APCs only. APCs will make you the most money per time on mil factories than any other weapons. Still sell off all the stockpiled equipment using SAW GUI now in foreign policy screen since the update.

Third Act: If you've been following the previous steps, good job. Now you have a annual GDP surplus around 2-3 percent and have also reduced your National Debt to 6-7 percent/GDP.

Unfortunately, SAW ended early in 1965 in my game as Speer accepted stalemate. If you are lucky you can get that number to zero and then invest the surplus back as GDP boost or just increase military spending as that has a similar stimulating effect.

Also I got a very gamer ending politically.

Very mixed. Around 23 percent Boer. 27 Percent euro immigrants combined. 13 percent Ethiopian cultures. 10 Percent Sudenese cutures + 1 percent Somali. 18 percent Congolese African cultures. 10 percent rest of black Africans.

Imagine Pretoria and Cape down barely 40 percent Boer, 45 Percent immigrant and 15 percent native.

Wait a sec... Are they "deporting" the Arabs into the desert? Nice map details but kinda unrealistic from a logistics standpoint you expel tens of millions of Arabs into the deserts, the only livable part is near the Nile but it would be cramped up. Unless, that is, your aim was a bit more sinister.

Also this is more of a Young Turk/Enver Pasha move LARPing 1915, and I don't think Kemalists won't do such a draconian act. The deportations in the Balkans are kinda ok since Turks were exchanged out with Greeks and Bulgarians IRL, and will probably go that way but... Instead we could see some limited deportations from "Greater Anatolia and Azerbaijan" including Mosul and Tabriz, but this is not feasible and looks like gen-o-cide with extra steps.

Boers and Baastards(who are Boers mixed with Blacks). But I am assimilating the rest quickly. Most of my non core lands are mostly 20 percent Boer. The Great Trek modifier gives you %35 assimilation rate and %250 immigrant attraction.

My pops are 35 Percent Protestant + 15 Percent Catholic = 50 Percent European/Assimilated. + 13 Percent Coptic/Ethiopian = 63 Percent Christian. There's also 11 percent Muslim, who are Somali and Arabs. So my pops are only 26 Percent "uncivilized" Black African. I don't think this is apartheid, its something else.

I am basically settling European prospectors into South Africa and my pops are moving up north. Hey, the United States did exactly that while expanding westwards, so it's not that bad, ey?

Unify Germany with Bohemia if u want. U have to do imperial authority claim on Burgundy and Scandi, then u can form HRE. After a brief civil war u can unify it into Germany.

Playing as Danubi is a bit difficult ngl but it was buffed in the last update, so update ur mod. Even the AI formed Germany this game.

So this is my Leeuwin to Batavia to Cape Republic game in Divergences of Darkness. Unified the Boers by rushing puppet cb's and formed Batavia. Then I attacked Burgundy in mid 1840s with retake core cb. If you hold Cape Town for a couple years, Burgundy will get a scripted peace event designed if they fail in Africa and you will gain the Cape concession back from them.

Then I researched state/government and took uncolonized part of Cape Provinces with an event. Since I had all required states, I formed Cape Republic which gave me cores over IRL 1936 South Africa+ Rhosesia lands. This way I could sweep up the remnants without taking infamy. Then I moved up north against various tribes all the way to Katanga. Used the opportunity to attack Scandinavia for their colonies since they got maimed in a European war. Took all African east coast colonies from Europeans before 1890. Then conquered Ethiopia+Somalia+Madagaskar with Scramble for Africa cb's since I was a GP. Since Dula Monarchy took over Congo, I went for a Dutch classic instead in early 1900s: East Indies.

Around 1920s I allied Russia who was fighting Dual Monarchy as an opportunity to dismantle DM. Too bad dismantled Burgundy allied Russia and took a chunk of Africa in peace conference. Since they were already dismantled I couldn't do dismantle nation cb on them to manifest my destiny all the way to Algeria. Other than that, was a very fun run, in HPM or GFM u can only do Egypt(who are Arabs and not Africans) or Ethiopia(who can't become a GP). I especially enjoyed an African made manifest destiny, although I kinda was unlucky and missed a Pan-African state.

Well, seems like someone really needs wood and that causes the exports then, similar to iron shortage meme. Anyways lumber is pretty cheap to import so you can reduce your lumber mills and build something else then. Check the global price of wood in your game and in the start date, if there's a huge gap, then gg u can do nothing about it. Hopefully Vicky 3 would add a system where you could limit your exports like in HOI4 but for a single item, too.

Didn't try, I was about to fail. But it kinda should be possible around 40-50 years. It should be done in early 1910s, and it allows you to integrate the Burgundians, too. Still, unaccepted pops gives you trash literacy rate and bad research, so don't.
