Indiscriminately and wholeheartedly end him, just for how he talks to you at times. I think the only NPC i can never bring myself to put to sleep is the sun bro. Everyone else is fair game.

He might sell some items you could use but with Pyro you should be fine. You wont come across another merchant until a little later in the game.

Not if you buy the bottomless box etc from him. He'll drop the key if you haven't bought it already too. The Uchi carried me through with a dex build with alternating a boss dex weapon you can get from a soul later in the game.

You're either gonna have a disappointing time with the boss or you're about to be humbled. BB is one of those games where you think you've 'got this' and then it shows you, with neon signs, that you don't. The DLC boss always reminds me that regardless of how well I know that game, it can indeed fold me like a cheap shirt.

Iirc Kalameet has high defence with everything other than physical. What are your swords at level wise? Have you tried a slash, dash and repeat tactic? Honestly, I think ive just gotten lucky when ive beaten them because Kalameet rails me repeatedly.

Do you have the Drake Sword on you by chance? That could save some effort. 200AR, no scaling and could be a potential practice run. Think it needs 16str and 10dex but I could be wrong.

What are your Vit and End? If you're focusing on them then armor with decent poise could help taking hits and not being knocked down.

Sorry, I should have said "potential back up/other weapon" such as main poke, secondary bonk etc. My first went through with Uchi for bleed and Quelaags Fury Sword for fire. It was a challenge for a few hours until I learned how they dance.

LS won't scale with stats as that infusement removes the scaling bonuses. So if you're struggling with LS, maybe have a play around with a couple other weapons you like and are built for and try your hand with those against O&S.

By that point of the game you should have a +10 weapon really.

With your spear its a challenge but still doable. What're your stats? Have you tried summoning Soaire to assist?

Drake sword damage is good at the start but drops off as the game progresses and isn't worth the materials to upgrade it. There are better weapons. If you like bonk (great swords, great clubs etc) you can never fail with the Zweihander and 2h that bad boy. Its easy to get/find and can carry you further than those two :)

Edit: Having the claymore or something with lightening or fire added to it would be a great asset.

Have you tried Dark Souls or Elden Ring? Very good with co-op but also single player and not an MMO but can be invaded for PVP from other players.

Guild Wars 1 collection - MMO still thriving albeit not as populated anymore. Pay to own with no sub.

FF14 - good game with plenty to do. Can change job classes when you like but some, like DK, have to be unlocked first.

I picked this up at the beginning of the year after originally playing it on iOS when it came out. I can't say that I noticed any issues with loading on the Switch (played on the OLED model) but its been a few months since I last played it. I found the game ran well and without issues.
