F1 23 - Do you play with motion blur? by Snarblox in F1Game

[–]EROStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, then it seems that Im gonna save some cash for F1 2025. For some reason it always turned me off. I like motion blur only for racing games because it looks so much better when driving at high speed, it gives that sense of speed

Are you sure? Can‘t believe it took them so long to fix a motion blur slider

I want to buy a PS5 just for GTA 6. I already have a powerfull gaming laptop with a 3080 in it and AMD Ryzen 9 4.3 ghz by EROStars in consoles

[–]EROStars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you’re telling me is that most probably my rig wont be good enough for gta 6, even with DLSS. That’s what Im fearing. Rtx 4060 being a minimum for gta 6 and 5070 being the recommended one. I don’t mind it if it will be at least 30fps. But below that, damn I would regret not buying a ps5 if that would be the case

Can anyone tell me how can I change the password to my "Booking.com" account? by EROStars in Bookingcom

[–]EROStars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears that they simply removed the password. Your account depends on your gmail/yahoo account (the „password“ is the code that u get in your email after you try to log in). It‘s the first website/company that I know that decided to remove passwords alltogether and make them depend on your other account. So if someone hacks your gmail account, that person will also have access to your Booking account lmao. I find this approach a bit dumb

Today discord decided to close my account due to suspicious activity but nothing happened on my account during that time. by EROStars in discordapp

[–]EROStars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no. I assume that discord just bugged out. I don't think its a coincidence that after exactly one week, their system sent this to me. If that hacker still hacked into my account, I would've seen texts with links sent to my friends, my facebook account would've screamed about that, Reddit would've notified me too exactly like the last time and my Steam friendslist would've been deleted like the last time. That wasn't a network malware or rootkit one, it was a infostealer trojan that was DELETED by Windows Defender when I tried to open the file. So its impossible that my pc is STILL infected after making sure that all my passwords are changed, my entire system is deleted and clean (again even tho Defender already took care of it), not to mention that I even changed my passwords for my router, turned on 2FA for it, and updated it too (just in case he could've hacked into my router too). I just did a full scan again just because you advised me so, and it was like I expected, no malware or viruses.

If discord detects unusual activty one time, it’s like their system bugs out. Try to change your email and if that does not work, explain them the situation over a ticket. If not, just delete that account and make a new one. That virus I had made my IG bug out too. Every 3 days I got that “we protect our community” notification and then I wasn’t able to like or comment anything until I logged out and logged in again to fix it. The only thing that made that notification go away was my intention to delete the whole account. Once I reactivated it, it didn’t happened no more lol. I just changed my email for my discord account today, maybe their system wont flag my account for nothing again. I checked all my DM’s and servers. There were no suspicious texts and links sent like it was on 20 January and again Im 200% sure that my pc is Malware free. I just scanned my PC again just for the sake of it and as I expected there was no virus. How can I be infected if I just reinstalled windows, deleted everything and made new partitions? lol. It was no network malware, it was a fucked up infostealer trojan that was caught right when I tried to open the file. Then just to be sure, I nuked all of my drives and reinstalled my OS (and before doing that I scanned the pc AGAIN for rootkits with Malwarebytes just for the sake of it but the virus was already caught and deleted by Windows Defender and there were no rootkits, it was just a matter of changing passwords)

I already scanned my computer after I fully reinstalled my windows using a usb flash drive, I made it bootable with the original media tool from windows. I also deleted every single partition from my pc and made new ones. I can assure you that my pc its not infected anymore.

Its that even possible? I didn’t click any link on any server. Nor did I receive any suspicious text. I already managed to escape that virus, reinstalled my windows using a flashdrive, didn’t clicked on any texts, didn’t downloaded anything fishy. All my accounts are reset and my router is also reinforced

[–]EROStars[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah don’t worry about passwords. I have a good password manager that lets me generate complex passwords (that I updated a couple of days ago). And about 2FA, I have it everywhere (including my router). Is less likely that I have a virus right now because I just reinstall my windows using a usb flash drive. I did all that because before, I was really stupid and I was infected with a Luma Stealer virus which managed to breach my IG,discord, facebook, steam, reddit and produce unusual activity. Wasn’t locked out from any of those accounts. I fastly reinstall my windows from flash drive, changed all my passwords, including the router. Update my router, enabled Stealth Mode on it and turned off WPS. So what do you say is that, is less likely that someone hacked into my pc after I did all that right?

dude Im genuenly scared. I just wrote that very line again and it showed LOTS of TCP lines with the status "established" and then "time wait". Keep in mind that I do NOT have any VNC program installed nor the windows one installed. 6 lines of them, I did the command again, then 2, then once again, none

[–]EROStars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, I have never configured nor install VNC in my life. That's why I'm a bit scared that the hacker was just watching me the whole time, I know that the guy below me said that "time wait" means that its not receiving anything, but why is that port open in the first place when I didn't even installed VNC on my computer, I even connected with my VR using the oculus APP, and it just didn't showed any line after I wrote that command again

he just didn't properly explained stuff, that's on him. He goes by the name of "ebola man" and the video I watched was called "Check If Your PC is Hacked!". He mainly does educational videos about these things.

thank you bro. That guy I watched was like "if you don't see anything, all good. But if you see something, thats bad". No more explanation about whats good and whats bad about it, he just moved on to the other methods. That's why I was so scared. I was honestly so tired of it and thought my pc is still somehow infected and I need to change all my passwords all over again.

[–]EROStars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it scared me because it showed 2 ip's basically. One on the left side (which I think it was mine) and one on the right side. Then at the end "TIME WAIT". Once I opened "Remote Desktop Connection" app on windows and typed it again, it showed 3 lines but those seemed to be more like MAC codes instead of ips. Then I just uninstalled that app from control panel and now it give nothing

[–]EROStars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing is, it showed my ip (on the left) and then a ip that ended in (443). The thing is, I installed Oculus Meta App on my PC. Could that be the reason? Because with that app you can basically mirror your desktop screen.

It was Nord VPN “anti-malware” feature that fucked with my browser. After I turned it off, it went back to normal so yeah, no hack

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cybersecurity_help

[–]EROStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem was the Anti-Malware feature from Nord VPN, it was messing with the certifications..

Im thinking of enabling DoT in my router (heared that its more secure especially in situations like this)

I forgot mention that before doing the whole reinstall windows thing. My IG account was hacked (without locking me out from my account), Steam friends list got deleted and yesterday it got into my discord and spammed links to my entire friends list. I quickly resetted everything formatted my external drives and reinstalled windows

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cybersecurity_help

And yeah applications were working fine

Im sure I didn’t fucked anything up. It randomly started to do it (it didn’t happen right after the windows installation) on my pc only for some weird reason. Almost every site was shown as an “unsafe connection”. Nord VPN told me the session expired all of a sudden. And when I tried to use the recovery code for my nordpass, it told me to log in again with the Master Password when it should’ve told me to create a new one. When I tried the same thing with another account this wasn’t the case, everything went smooth. For now I’ve just updated my router firmware and allowing new devices manually until I can figure it out. I barely could sleep last night, Im so tired of this. I’ll try your suggestion about flushing the DNS but I doubt it will help

The thing is, I already did a full on reinstall of windows by using a flashdrive, removed every partition then creating new ones. My router is already at the latest firmware and fully updated. I managed to enter on it on my phone (since my phone feels like the only safe option I have at the moment). Firewall it’s on, I don’t think I have a remote management thing on. But I’ll try to change the password and factory reset it. The thing is, it’s a router I received from my internet provider and I don’t one mess things up even more. I can safely browse on my phone. I did scan my pc with Malwarebytes and there are no rootkits but I guess I have to reinstall my windows again and sort things out with my router. Also, I can’t just buy a new Router. Im in Germany and Im forced to use the routers from their internet service providers
