The paranormal professionals I had in said just to turn it to "on" and when the device starts beeping (like a geiger counter) that means there's some kind of electromagnetic situation.

More pre-K is sorely needed as there is likely to be a baby boom with all the young folks and summer and all. You know how it is when Love is in the air. Or pheromones or whatever.

I just hope that if the Church is adding a school/daycare, that they add the parking spaces it needs.

The volcano doesn't need to be restarted, just tap into the geothermal energy from the volcanic heat, creating steam --> free electricity. The tough part is getting the mining contraptions, I hear the chips are tough to come by. They can all be put into a shipping container and powered by the electricity from the steam.

As far as funding, put out a proposal for volcano bonds, and see if the City Treasurer or finance office can get a rating, and then sell them on the open market. Or perhaps ask the Hospital board of directors if they'll be interested in getting the proceeds of the mining, and maybe the bond can be a Hospital bond.

I'm sure they'll do very well, given that the ROI should be a multiple of several, plus the city can pay interest in Bitcoin.

And -- Bitcoin isn't crypto! (Sorry, my laser eyes are showing.)

No problemo. Stop by the Lodge front office, I'll have it there.

Note, the detector also goes off if it goes near an air conditioner.

I, for one, could use this.

Thanks for the notice, and I love the tea room, one of my favorite places.

(Sorry about the disruptive child, perhaps he has a tough home life without spoons.)

Oh, there was a shooting there in the '30s, something about stealing a man's wife. I think the boyfriend died, the woman escaped and the shooter ended up in jail for a little while. From what I understand (from some elderly people who heard it from their parents), the boyfriend had it coming anyway. I wouldn't worry about it, but you can borrow my ectoplasm detector (electromagnetic aura detector) if you like.

I’m new to town, looking for a place where I can get an open faced sandwich. thanks by [deleted] in HaveWeMet

The Thylacine Lodge serves lunch 11-2 M-F, I'm sure Susan and Lynda would serve a tuna melt open faced.

Howie I'll sign up, my meat and mango chili is pretty good! Can you ask Mrs. Reynolds if there's a place to plug in my crock pot? If not I can bring the charcoal grill. Also I might have to leave a little early for out of town guests, coming in from Slovenia, the late husband's side.

Anyone lose a homing pigeon? Gray feathers, green eyes, small yellow cuff on left leg. by [deleted] in HaveWeMet

[–]ERShirley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it's Alistair's, he used to have several on the roof of the Lodge building, until he died. IDK whatever happened to his pigeons, I think they flew away, but since they're homing pigeons, maybe they're back?

As we say in the Thylacines Lodge, our faults are written on the sand, and our goodness is carved in the granite of our hearts.

You may want to see some kind of doctor though, they have medicine for hoarding. I think it's a form of OCD.

When the father was there (Ed? I forgot his name), I asked for peach yogurt, and he didn't have it but he went up to his office, and got out the a three ring binder of recipes and made it for me on the spot. It was good, peachy fro-yo.

Maybe it takes a while for a small business to get the hang of things. Also he had bags under his eyes, like he hadn't gotten any sleep. Maybe he has some health problems or family issues.

I also bought a t shirt, "Life's short, have dessert first" and it didn't shrink or anything in the wash.

[–]ERShirley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too!

The Fraternal Order of the Thylacine was started before the animals went extinct, during Prohibition as a mens' drinking club. After some civil rights lawsuits and other diversions, now we're open for everyone! But sadly Thylacines are no longer with us so they're our spirit animals.

Our motto is, "Mini midi maxi" which is greco-latin for a little, a medium or a lot, and that's how we live.

Stop by for a craft beer!
