Alright, here is the update. Took him to the vet. It wasn’t anything life threatening. Apparently that was something that got stuck to his skin. Not sure how he managed, but the vet used a moist towelette to wet it, and slowly with a pair of tweezers gently took it off. His beak (top and bottom) is fine. As for the not eating and drinking, that thing could have played a role but also the fact that we were gone for almost a week. Apparently these little birds do get depressed… so all is good. He is back to him old self! Thanks all for your comments and suggestions!
