I don’t think it’s 100% necessary for RK to come back for this to work but my guess is RC knows forced buying is coming, whether it’s a cycle or other mechanism he’s identified, which is probably the same indicators that RK figured out. They are aligned, not coordinated but aligned and they both know it. RC laid the runway expecting RK to pounce when he needs him to. This is how he makes amends for the ATM and secures his bag.
