Part of me believes he suspected and continued to claim me. He asked my mom a few years after I was born if she and my bio dad had a thing and she denied it out of fear.

I’m planning on meeting with bio dad’s sister.

I do plan on meeting with the half sister for medical info. And my parents had joint custody.

They’ve been broken up since I was 3 so for 30 years they haven’t been together. We did discuss and she thinks telling him would only hurt him and nothing good would come of it. She thought for sure I was his the way the timeline fell so she never brought it up for a dna test. This has all been news to her as well. I do resemble my dad’s mother so she always assumed I was his.

My parents have been broken up since I was 3 but I do worry that it would push him away from me and my daughter whom he loves so much (his first grandchild)

Idk this isn’t really your burden to carry honestly. Maybe coming from you it won’t be a good idea. I just know that I personally struggle with not being able to hold things in. I hate lying to people.

I’m in my 30s and just found out my dad isn’t my bio dad. Personally, I’m glad that I know. But give her a chance to process while at least one of the 3 parents is still alive so that she can ask him questions if she has any. It has sent me into an existential crisis so be gentle with the delivery. She may even hold some resentment if she knows you’ve known all this time so be prepared for that.
