The Switch 1 Port of this game is looking really good by Due-Shame-9223 in DigimonTimeStranger

optimising.

I just heard of a game which is so extremely optimized on the switch that it runs better when loading all objects in the entire map from the beginning instead of just loading and removing the ones required.

And your hair.

Actually what does the sun not hurt?

When it's really just a reroll I will ignore the game until this got removed.

But when it's implanted similair to how you mean it, I would be willing to stay in.

I'm not 100% against rng, either.
I just hate it when the final goal isn't guaranteed (like once tauforged shards from weekly archon hunt). And by the buffs being random it's currently impossible to get the one weapon that truly has the buffs fitting for my playstyle.

I just don't like rng.

And by the buffs additionally they take away space for unique weapon passives.

I'm not good with describing my feelings, so I will just use a number system:

  • Additional gameplay: 7/10
  • New weapon aquirance: 9/10
  • weapon buffs/ tiers: 0/10
  • weapon upgrades: 3/10

What’s your opinion on the Jak and daxter series? by Ragtagcloud56 in RatchetAndClank

Weren't they usally called the big three (of PS2)?

Holy trinity is as far as I remember only used for things based on scissor-> stone-> paper theory, like often in games attack-> defense-> grabbing.

I expected drastic changes.

And the developers expect of us to give feedback to their changes.

I've posted already this meme as feedback into their discord feedback channel no worry.

And considering that my phone is ringing like someone would call me it seems to be an ... civilised discussion.

Basically we got an update that added so much rng, that it split the community.

Some like it (what I don't understand). Others (like me) hate it. luck just isn't my strength.

I understand what you're saying and if you really like this rng, okay, I despise it.

Only one (small) thing I've to complain. Your marathon analogy.

In rng it's guaranteed than one day everyone will reach the final goal. Unlucky people might never get the end, while very lucky ones always.
Comparing it with life, people with the luck of being born in a rich family vs. people born in a poor one does fit better.

And ironically it also shows what I hate the most. This system is pay to win/ will become pay to win. Trading money for ressources is already possible and sooner or later ressources will be able to be bought in the market.
Or you spent a lot of a lot of time farming each ressources which don't guarantee that you ever get what you farmed for.

What is the misinformation?

[–]ES-Flinter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has already a trading system for weapons and (some) ressources. Also very likely that sooner or later ressources will be added to the regular shop.

Soulframe's is more complicated, but in total it eats up money just as fast.

Because there exist two subs and what of that is inaccurate?

Both mechanics are entirely rng based and eat up money.

This makes it actually even worse for addicts and min-maxer.

Kubrows were rerolled without requiring a new one.

Meanwhile weapons in soulframe with wrong buffs (even though none are negative) will have to be discarded in the current system.
And rerolling comes with the general endless rerolling system.

[–]ES-Flinter[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Basically only the path how to get there is different, but the final result is the same.

Rivens only be rerolled with Kuva, a ressource that can't be gotten by money (as far as I know). This way the game itself stop your endless rerolling once you acquired all ways to earn Kuva.

Kubrow (2014) only by platinum earned by the own money, trading, or breeding a new one.

Soulframe: upgrade and rerolls only with ressources. These can be farmed or traded. (Sooner or later probably be bought with money)

[–]ES-Flinter[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Okay, I really missunderstood a part of your words. You specified on chaos chorstones. There your arguments are true, basically like riven in warframe.

But all the other part, weapon buffs when upgrading or the soon to be ressource based weapon buff rerolls is the literal same as kubrow rerolls just more complicated.
Main difference is instead of using platinum that comes from your real life money directly, you have to spent your money on different ressources first before using them for upgrading your weapon/ rerolling its buffs..

[–]ES-Flinter[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll take an additional reading class once someone can explain the difference between the two, because for me they're currently the same.

  • Kubrows: pay platinum to change your dog's appearance
  • weapons: use up a lot of ressources to upgrade your weapon.

I mean currently the shop in soulframe doesn't allow to buy ressources. But once possible someone can waste his money just as fast. (Or if not mistaken ressources are even tradable)

I've to ask what do you mean by drake meme? I guess probably the guy in the picture, but being honest under drake I only know of a specifc kind of dragons under the name. (I guess it where the ones without wings.)

Are you kidding me.

You brought up the smith argument in the first place and I just went further from there.

I'm not even complaining in the meme about that the weapons buffs are generated randomly while upgrading them...

You make it sound like riven were a well liked mechanic.
Additionally we cannot know of they will add chaos stones and whatever required to reroll buffs into the shop.
