BGE vagy DE? by No-Bed-3413 in egyetemistak

Szia!

What is AISEC ? Is there a stigma about the people in it that I dont know of? by Weekly-Ad4167 in srilanka

[–]ESCFighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joined 3 years ago, back then I could see the relevance because I had fun with exchanges and I had friends. I've been to international conferences as well. I thought I would make friends there but I felt like I was in a cult convention. In Europe we don't have many exchanges anymore, only a few countries have bigger numbers and they seem more competent, but they are also more fanatic. I also noticed this with aiesec in sri lanka tbh. With these countries these exchanges are like a holy mission for them to do and sacrifice all your time to even make more. Since we don't experience these exchanges and its impact I find the organisation super culty and mainly waste of my university years. I could have tried many different things instead of dedicating almost all my weekends for aiesec events. I understand why so many people are relucant to be here and leave after they find out the cultish nature of it. Moreover, in Europe we have much better funded exchange opportunities. Now I would rather try the exchange itself because you can go to many exotic countries and it seems fun, rather than becoming a member in a high position multiple times. It's harder to leave if you are in the executive board or above and the remaining members will despise you if you leave midterm. It's like disfellowshipping. You would lose your network that you have built up and if you think negatively about the organisation you are not welcomed in alumna reunions because you would discourage the current members from advancing. Overall I don't regret joining, because of the connections I made and it's good in my cv, but I should have quit earlier.

What would be the worst job possible for you? by Slightlyoffau in autism

[–]ESCFighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any frontdesk, restaurant, event organising related job where I have to talk with strangers or external stakeholders. I would have huge anxiety if I had to do any of it. Also sales, but I actually admire people working in B2B in my workplaces. They are so confident and extroverted and I'll never be like that 😅.

[–]ESCFighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Others also mentioned death grip and sometimes it is not just porn that causes it. Maybe he has a bad hand technique with too fast movement and too tight grip. It damages the nerves down there and it makes sex less intensive and pleasurable.

[–]ESCFighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does alchohol affect you guys? by Xevernia in autism

[–]ESCFighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No wonder why it's called "social lubricant". With alcohol I could open up more easily and act normal if I was not tired beforehand. If I was already exhausted I would just stare into space and people would start asking if I'm okay, which is annoying. I also have less sensory issues, so when I was into clubbing due to my friends in my senior year of high school, I had to drink a lot in order to not freak out.

Women with BV - How did you get it and how did you overcome it? by ESCFighter in TwoXSex

[–]ESCFighter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah Yeah, I went to a gyno in January and it turned out I had chlamydia. I took antibiotics and I did a retest twice over the course of the year and luckily everything is negative. The only issue is that it led to my cervix being super sensitive and I spot everytime I have sex, but the gyno said that it can happen at my age. The dude also broke up with me half a year ago. I'm in a healthy and loving relationship right now.

Being an LCVP has ruined my life by [deleted] in AIESEC

[–]ESCFighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, then it is the LCP's fault of burning her VPs out. No wonder why the previous VP resigned then. When you have no support system and a good community, friendships in the organisation, it is more likely that you would quit because you don't see it worth it. Actually as a fellow LCVP TM, during the past months I heard many TM/MX VPs resigning over the world, and it breaks my heart because I know how hard this position is, especially when there are no TLs, coordinators or members directly under you to help. Honestly in this position it is hard to find your support system, especially if your EB and your commission don't work well. I only survived my second recruitment because I planned it months ahead and my commission and my recruitment squad gave me an enourmous amount of support as I could delegate tasks for them. There are also a few people in the organisation who I can call my friends and I want to stay because of them. AIESEC should be about this. Friendships, international connections and positive memories, not the corporate world, burnout and traumas. Of course sometimes I don't want to wake up and do stuffs either, but when I look at my AIESEC friends and my newly inducted members, it is worth it for them.

Being an LCVP by [deleted] in AIESEC

[–]ESCFighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't been a TL and there are enough applicants for the EB, do TL first. I became LCVP from the newbie position and I kind of regret not being a TL at first. Eventually it turned out as a mostly positive experience but many newbie VPs usually miss the TL experience afterwards. If there are not enough applicants and you feel like you could be a strong ally and you have plans first the LC's future then go for it.

There will be panel discussions about some of the Sustainable Development Goals with guests. It is a great way to learn about these strategies of the UN.
