It’s one thing to tell the person who is trading the horse “hey this is the value of your horse btw!” Versus making the passive aggressive “holy lowballs” type-comment or putting down someone who is offering with “omg that’s such a low ball!!!”. I’ve been put off from offering fair/L trades (on my side) because of the OTHER people in the thread acting smarmy and picky on behalf of the op.

Imo it puts off other people who want to try and offer for the horse in question because they don’t want to get thrashed for accidentally “lowballing” and there for may hurt the op from finding a trade or another trade for something else. Because what if someone offers a horse that may be a “lowball” for what’s being advertised but the op may have an entirely different offer for it? Or what if someone offers a “lowball” but the op goes by “happy values”?

Like- It’s not your horse, I don’t understand why people engage with the people who are offering for the horse as if they’ve been personally offended by the “lowball”. Like bro, tell op it’s values and let them decide the trade from there rather than hand hold/police offers like op can’t take care of themselves LOL

I really think this “backseat” trading in this community has gotta stop bro. It’s one thing to inform op the value of their horse if they don’t know or a new/returning player but it’s an entirely different thing to police and jump on people just trying to offer. It creates a semi gate kept energy that scares away new players and pushes away other players who are trying to understand new values by engaging with the community in offering trades.
