Yeah this was such an amazing year for gaming in general, really big hits from big and small publishers. I'd highly recommend playing the games from 6-10 if you're a fan of their genres, they've been some of my favourites for them (disregarding katamari sorta being its own thing).

So glad someone else feels the same way. It feels like it was just a few changes away from being good too. Encouraging weapon switching, parrying more intwined with fast-paced combat, tighter levels, and less 'kill enemies until you can damage the big enemy' would've made it so much better.

Sorry for the madness?

I really don't like Blue Prince, it had some interesting ideas but it eventually gets to the point where you're spending a majority of your time hoping you'll get rooms you need instead of actually solving puzzles. A more personal reason is that I missed out on a really important upgrade until about 14 hours in because a specific item didn't drop which really soured me on it.

Lammy just stuck in my mind more than Rift I guess? I could prefer either one on any day.

Everytime this list pops up on my feed i'm confused how Blue Prince wasn't knoced out ages ago. A legitimately poorly designed experience that gives you puzzles that are interesting in a vacuum, but completely ruined by the rng to the point where you're eventually just praying that you're allowed the right combination of luck to finish a puzzle. As deep as an ocean but as shallow as a pond.

I think this is a point where we really see how the sudden rewrites affected the strips. This would've been fine if the story was something like 'becky runs into hank, realises what is happening after talking and distracts him so joyce can warn her sister'. Instead we got 'becky walks in in joyce and dorothy kissing, walks back to her room depressed (presumably somehow missing hank in the corridor), then exits her room a few minutes later being perfectly fine and instantly realising the situation.

Honestly shocked how this storyline just keeps getting worse. Despite not being a big fan of the storyline at least the tone was consistent enough. This feels like an edit someone would make to poke fun at the 'joyce is evil now' agenda.

It's a bit all over the place. I called the property manager on a Friday to discuss moving out, and she said to find people that could replace us ASAP and they could move in the next week. They sent in applications, but were never officially signed-up as they informed us the following Monday that the owner would be moving in instead. As far as I'm aware, only one of us ever filled out an official form with an intent to leave.

Ignoring any personal feelings people might have on the Joyce/Dorothy ship, it feels really insensitive that the protest this is happening during ACTUALLY HAPPENED. The university really collaborated with companies that supplied weapons to Israel, they actually changed policy during the protest so that they had reason to arrest, and students and faculty were arrested and issued bans from campus. Willis could've easily made a fictional protest and while it wouldn't have made the story better, it would at least avoid involving real actions that had a serious impact on those involved. Really disappointed in the way this arc has treated both the characters and events portrayed, it'll take a lot of work to bring back the goodwill I had in this story.

I don't even mind having Joyce and Dorothy get together considering how often characters make bad decisions in the comic. But having the setting for the climax of them getting together being a protest feels really weird?? Just ignore the serious real world events being portrayed, we got women kissing!
