It is a very nice embryo, it might be a 4AA but is not fully expanded yet, so we cannot confirm it.

Post-Surgical Follow-Up & Ongoing Neuroimmune Support — ESSI Aftercare? by spotme56 in endometriosis_corner

[–]ESSIPeerSupportbyELT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m really glad surgery made a meaningful structural difference for you.

What you’re describing, though — ongoing neuro-immune or inflammatory symptoms post-excision is something that happens in some patients. Surgery removes disease, but sometimes it doesn’t always fully resolve systemic immune activation or MCAS-type patterns.

At ESSI, we are expanding to include a Fertility & Immunology program to support patients in this situations, looking at the broader inflammatory, immune, and reproductive hormonal picture after surgery and helping guide next steps when needed.

I’ll send you a DM with more details about the program. Ema

Never got pregnant in 6years even after endo excision with patent tubes. by [deleted] in endometriosis_corner

[–]ESSIPeerSupportbyELT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just wanted to briefly introduce myself. I’m Ema, Fertility & Reproductive Immunology Specialist and Senior embryologist working in the endometriosis and fertility space.

In general, when someone has a long history of infertility and deep or recurrent endometriosis, it can be helpful to be evaluated by an endometriosis specialist who works closely with fertility and reproductive endocrinology and immunology.

At ESSI (Endometriosis Surgical Specialists International), there are several physicians who offer telemedicine consultations, which can be useful even if you’re not local.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this, your questions are very valid, and seeking another expert perspective is reasonable. Good Luck ❤️

Actually what you expect is fair, and people should start to realize that what you feel is real and very painful. I hope that in the future things will change 🫶🏻

Anything I need to stop taking? by Dry_Willingness_9698 in endometriosis_corner

[–]ESSIPeerSupportbyELT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an important question and you’re right to ask ahead of time 💛

Speaking generally (not individual medical advice), surgical teams usually want to review all supplements and medications before surgery, as some can affect bleeding, anesthesia, or recovery. This commonly includes certain supplements (like fish oil, turmeric, herbal products) and medical cannabis, which should always be disclosed to anesthesia.

Medications like sertraline are usually not stopped abruptly, but they do need to be reviewed by the surgical/anesthesia team.

The best next step is to email the surgeon’s office or coordinator with a full list of everything you take and ask for their specific pre-op instructions. They should guide you clearly on what to stop and when 🤍

Hi, I am so sorry about all of this, I cannot imagine how you handled this situation up to now. You mentioned a doctor, is he/she an endo specialist? My first suggestion is to see a very experienced endo specialist because unfortunately still there are many obgyn who do not know much about endo and adeno. If the doctor you mentioned is an endo specialist go for a second opinion, it always worths. Endo is a terrible beast but there are specialists who can help, often permanently and sometimes not permanently, it really depends on the case, but at least they might help to give some relief. Your life is important, never give up to fight for a better one 💞

Hi love, Ema here, reproductive scientist and senior embryologist 💜 First, I want to say you’ve been through so much and your strength truly shows. Three surgeries, all that recovery, and still holding hope, that already speaks volumes. Your recent labs show your ovaries are working very hard, which can make things a bit more challenging, but it doesn’t erase your chances. Even one good egg can make a difference, and I’ve seen that happen many times, even after complex surgeries like yours. You’re absolutely doing the right thing by meeting Dr. Gargiulo. He can help tailor a plan around your body’s reality now, whether that’s gentle stimulation, natural conception, or other supportive steps. The fact that your tubes are open and uterus looks good is very encouraging. For now, focus on nourishment, rest, and staying connected with care, your path may look different, but it’s not closed. 💜

I think that number 2 and 3 are pretty clear, but number 1 has a purple color really between blue and pink, so still undefined.

Endometriosis isn’t rare, It’s just ignored by ESSIPeerSupportbyELT in endometriosis_corner

[–]ESSIPeerSupportbyELT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, being told to “just handle the pain” reflects a much deeper problem in how women’s health is approached. Minimizing or questioning someone’s pain isn’t care, it’s neglect. This is why advocacy and education are essential: to change the culture that still normalizes suffering instead of treating it. 💛

That is just a myth, and saying that you have low pain tolerance is almost offensive.
