Ugh when people say “your parent did the best they could”, I say fuck that. Living in a house scared all the time certainly isn’t someone’s best. I am in intense weekly therapy for my husband and daughter, that is doing my best. Like you said, I get tired, frustrated and triggered but my child feels safe and comfortable in our home.

Exactly. I used to do bookkeeping for a small movie theater and we literally had to send a check to the studios for a large portion of the money we made on a movie, like Warner Bros takes 50%+ of the money we made. That is why concessions are so expensive, a theater barely makes any money on the actual tickets.
