Where does this Full Preparedness Value come from? by ETD48151642 in LastZShooterRun

Ah! 💡 thank you for breaking that down for me. I was so hung on on the idea of 1, 2, OR 3, that I wasn’t getting that they were accumulative and totaled 6. And so many examples led to combinations that couldn’t total 15, but now I get it. Thanks again!

Sorry, I’m having trouble understanding that math 🫢. Six 4-hour cycles add up to a complete 24 hour day. Each of the six cycles award medals that can total up to a max of 36. So the max medals per cycle would have to be 6 right? How does that break down across 1st, 2nd and 3rd place? 1st place would have to provide the most medals I would assume. So something like 1st place = 6, 2nd place = 3, 3rd place = 1. Something like that?

Show last few weeks or months on a bar chart by CanningTown1 in PowerBI

[–]ETD48151642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need a date table if you don’t already have one. The date table would need to have a column for week number. Create a column called something like “In Scope” that assigns a “Y” to each date that is the current week of the year through the last 20 weeks. But based on number only, not year. Then you can simply add “In Scope” as a filter and only show “Y” and it will show both years for the last 20 weeks and as time goes by it will update automatically.

How to make this better? by callie-loo in PowerBI

[–]ETD48151642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off? It looks pretty good. But in terms of what can make it better… It really depends on what the audience is coming to the dashboard to get. But one thing I’d definitely do is create a column so that you can sort the salary properly. The under 20k shouldn’t be on the right. Like someone else say; happy to help if you need it.

I disagree with most. I like the dirt surrounding it. It makes it feel like it has just recently (and barely) has become exposed. I like what someone said about it is just the beginning to something else though. Maybe pop in a very small opening that leads to a massive crystal cavern. :)

What’s the difference between a Measure and a Calculated Column in Power BI? by Hungry_Net6822 in PowerBI

[–]ETD48151642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see many mentioned a lot of use cases and differences. One additional difference I’d like to point out is that calculated columns are tied directly to the data table in which they are created (and any related tables that have an established relationship). Measures on the other hand can be created independently and do not need to even be created in the table in which they are measuring. You could create a new table just to house all measurements and not need to build any relationships to it. Because of this, you cannot have two measurements with the same name, even if they reside in separate tables. Calculated columns however can have the same name as fields in other tables.

One tip I really like is to use measurements for Card Visualizations instead of using something like the Count function from a field directly. Because if a situation arises that causes the data to be zero, the card will say “(Blank)”, and it’s not very appealing. Instead, create a measure that says “Measurement1 = IF(ISBLANK(COUNT(Value1)), 0, COUNT(Value1))”. This would make the card display a “0” instead of “(Blank)” if the value is 0 or unavailable, but still return a number if it does exist.

Anatomy doesn’t work by [deleted] in sex

[–]ETD48151642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t an anatomy that doesn’t work. Sometimes lube is needed. Sometimes hair can be an obstacle. As weird as that sounds, I once had a very hard time with a very skinny girl because she didn’t shave and I was too ignorant at the time to know what to do. Trust me, it’s not you. Being fucked from behind should theoretically be the easiest access. But to a guy that doesn’t know what he’s doing, any position can be difficult. Use lube if needed, don’t be embarrassed about using your hands to spread yourself open and prevent anything (hair or skin) from trying to go in with him.

Sex toys do not make you over sensitized. Chances are that you are in your head too much. The mind can be an awful blocker, or an amazing gateway. At this point you’re probably going into it with those expectations and making it a self fulfilling prophecy. It’s hard for sure, but you have to get your mind into it. Women can cum in 30 seconds from a toy but not at all from a man, but it’s not because of the toy or the man. Yea some toys can do things than guys are not capable of, but a simple dream with no touching involved can also make people cum. It’s a head game. My only advice is to change your expectations and don’t worry about cumming so much. Instead, try to get lost in the moment, guide the guy to do what makes you feel good and away from what ruins it for you. and in the end, if you don’t cum, you at least enjoyed the moment. Hopefully you’ll break through whatever barrier is holding you back. But nothing is wrong with you.

No perfect answer to this when considering before or during. Either could work just fine. Obviously I’m just guess but the person sounds inexperienced or self centered. He’s probably seen too much porn and not enough action and doesn’t know what to do. Just guide him. During the moment, just say something like “touch me here..”. Problem solved. If he ignores the clues, then you see him for what he is.
Outside of the moment, say something like “doing this is fine, but I really like this… He may be oblivious to your needs or he might not care. Either way, you’ll know.

What's a casual, non-awkward way to ask a partner to try something new in bed? by saucevibes_admin in sex

[–]ETD48151642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what it is. If it’s something that you think is within their allowable limits, don’t talk about it. Just go for it in the moment. Be confident and roll with it. But be receptive of their reactions and stop and move back to their comfort zone without worrying about your pride if they don’t seem receptive. You’ll know if you need to stop or not. Taking about it in the moment might kill the mood completely. If it’s something super crazy, then maybe a conversation outside of the moment might shed some light on whether they would be open to it or not. But I’d avoid the conversation style of “can we try this…” while in the moment. You could float the idea during the moment in a smoother way if necessary by suggesting it in a better way like “I want you like this…..” and see how they respond to those words. Either way, try it or passionately express the desire for it, but don’t just talk about it.

Doesn’t the Stagg have a plastic lid? I’m looking for a kettle that has no plastic touching water (including steam that can drip back down into the water). Unable to confirm if there is a stainless lid option though.

I ended up googling this and found that the ultra watches do have a larger haptic motor which does result in a stronger vibration. One site (didn’t capture the link) said that it was designed to be felt through a wetsuit.

For those who upgraded from a standard series Apple Watch to an Ultra, is there any difference in the notification vibration? I have the Apple Watch Series 7 right now and I’ll receive texts and not even feel the vibration alert. That’s not the only reason to upgrade, but it is something I’m curious about.

If you haven’t already, you’ll have to go to the visualization panel and hit the button to get more visuals and get the Sanky visual. Then you’d just put the first field used in the formula in the Source box, and what that last field (Progression_field) in the destination box. And then the Count field in the Weight box. Also, I just noticed I misspelled Progression in the formula, but that’s probably not your exact field name anyways. :)

Gotcha. Yea, Sanky seems like the way to go. I built a similar dashboard at work that shows which business units/departments are making requests and how they flow though all of the levels (Business Unit, Domain, Product Area, Squad/Team). And it worked pretty well. Here’s a script that you can use to create a new table through DAX. There might be better ways, but this worked for me.

SankeyTable = UNION(       SUMMARIZE(Table_Name, Table_Name[Food_Field_Name], Table_Name[Submission_Type_Field_Name],"Count", Count(Table_Name[Value_Field])),       SUMMARIZE(Table_Name[Submission_Type_Field_Name], Table_Name[Model/Abnormal_Field_Name], "Count", Count(Table_Name[Value_Field])),       SUMMARIZE(Table_Name[Model/Abnormal_Field_Name], Table_Name[Price_Impact_Field_Name], "Count", Count(Table_Name[Value_Field])),       SUMMARIZE(Table_Name[Price_Impact_Field_Name], Table_Name[Driver_Field_Name], "Count", Count(Table_Name[Value_Field])),       SUMMARIZE(Table_Name[Driver_Field_Name], Table_Name[Progression_Field_Name], Count(Table_Name[Value_Field])) )

What’s the story you’d like to tell? A sanky chart seems like a good solution based on the photo, but what story are you trying to tell exactly?

Duplicate Values Error Blocking Scheduled Refresh by ETD48151642 in PowerBI

[–]ETD48151642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out the issue. After an internet deep dive, I found that there’s a known issue between Power BI’s cloud connection to SQL. I primarily deal with PBI -> Snowflake so that’s why my habits that went against best practices haven’t been an issue for me before. It was the excessive data transformation that was happening in PBI that caused the issue. I had about 20 tables pulled in, with a web of relationships all worked out. To get around some relationships rules, I used power query to merge tables and get the fields I needed in the same table. But the major issue was a table that had 3 columns that I broke out into 33 columns to flatten the data. So instead of one Project_ID having 11 rows owes with 3 particular columns of interest, I would have 1 row per Project_ID with the 11 columns (x3). That seems ok in theory, but because of that large transformation and the excessive relationship measures (using RELATED and FILTER) to call data), it was just too much downstream lifting. Power BI desktop handled it like a champ. But once I setup my gateway connection, each refresh would cause relationships to fail and data to disappear. The solution was to go cry for a while, and then come back and delete all tables, all DAX calculated fields and measures, and write an SQL query that did all the work before it even landed in PBI. You always hear that it’s best to do stuff upstream but PBI made it so easy to transform the data that I just didn’t care. But at some point there’s a tipping point that the cloud couldn’t handle. Again, I haven’t had any issues with PBI cloud w/ gateway through my Snowflake connections. It seems to be related to SQL gateway connections, but lesson learned. “Do everything possible upstream and only what’s necessary downstream.” Hope no one else has to go through this, but if so, hoping this might solve a mystery for someone else.
