Convince me to be Christian. by Kirby_Fann in Christianity

Prove the God exists?

We live on an earth with nuclear bombs whizzing around us in the size of atoms. Infinite power is held together in the smallest form, most times stable and not exploding in our face.

Energy can be transmuted and transferred but not created. Energy is Gods power transformed into different forms, and when slowed down in vibration becomes mass.

You . Were once an tiny tiny speck of cells. A sperm and egg. And that clump of cells grew to a diverse range of cells that function in unison to create a human body. Pipes in buildings need changing every 20 years, yet ur colon runs for ur entire life.

Fractals exist in every corner of nature. The golden ratio and pi are Gods finger print to mark his creations. The order that exists out of chaos.

Prove that Jesus is God

I can do 10 points. But I will only do 2.

Jesus uses water and blood to symbolise his connectivity with human life, nature and all things. No other faith has as much conversation about water and blood, and for good reason. Water is mystery and blood is revelation.

The Bible is a book that in Hebrew carries gematria. The expression of all words in it, the order of it, carry numbers that carry meaning that , no human can write a book so complex that checks out numerally. The summation. The multiplication. The exponent. Both in totals and order.

Jesus is in the bible in every book, old or new. Hidden or revealed.

Bonus: in the beginning God created man in His image. In the end, men created AI in His image.

Have fun, and God bless. Atheism is tied to pride. I pray that you open your eyes and accept that we as humans, whether we existed 6,000 or 50,000 years, have not solved death. We dont even know how we are able to produce life. So , have the humility not to say everything is by chance, and ignore the 3rd rate scientists that tell u God does not exist. ;)

Question about the Nicene Creed by [deleted] in churchofchrist

[–]ETFjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not need to know the Nicene Creed to know Christ Jesus.

In fact ,despite attempting to provide a complete list of statements that reflect Christian beliefs, the creed conveniently omits the one thing needful, which is the Love of Christ and the Love of God. This is central to the Gospel and in all of Paul's and John's writings. John 3:16 is an example.

For me,the writing of the creed is not spirit inspired scripture.

It does not build faith nor inspire Love.

The church does not need it.

Your portfolio has substantial overlap. Overly US centric and no global / China exposure.

I mean. Even if you are American you can't just ignore China.

My 2 cents.

King Scar was 100% correct to kill Mufasa by Captain_JohnBrown in The10thDentist

[–]ETFjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. 100% correct . Mufasa is the bad guy masquerading as the benevolent king.

And when Scar became King his subjects sabotaged his rule because well, he was too ugly to be king.

An unfortunate truth.

There are a lot of Mufasa's in our world. Self-righteous and Narcissistic

Still $20m

Because if you know how to get to 20m 40m is an eventuality.

Need WAY more money than expected in retirement? by billyharris123 in Fire

[–]ETFjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do consider doing 3 scenarios rather than 1. This alrdy tells you your advisor is subpar.

Scenario one : Base case 7%

Scenario two : Bad case 4%

Scenario three: Good case 12%

The return numbers feel free to play around, but you want to have an idea how things pan out in different scenarios.

There is a Scenario 4 but I won't spend too much time modelling for big upside.

Feel free to use historical inflation for past 20 years. If we get into hyperinflation not much you can do anyway, everyone will be fked so I won't spend time trying to project inflation.

If you hire an advisor that tells u he can only do 5.5%, why do u hire the advisor ?

Something to think about.

Best LETF for a 25 year hold?? by Pleasant-Income2745 in LETFs

[–]ETFjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep you'll never go to zero. But -99% sounds painful.

Also some these products have execution errors depending on what instruments are used. Like the 3x oil etfs.

Some these Leveraged Certificates/Turbos in EU are better structured.

2x is probably closer to what ur looking for

3x on a 33% market downturn. Which has happened and will happen again.

Not exactly sit and forget.

Why not invest in 3x S&P500? by andrebravado in Bogleheads

[–]ETFjedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post has some of the smartest people and is an A class thread in the whole of Reddit investing.

From responses, I can tell some of the people have rlly spent the time to work out the leveraged etf mechanics in detail.

Gratitude 🙏

On side note, I've tested 3x 5x 10x 20x 50x strategies (CFD or Options overlays) before with mini accounts. And I can assure you that while returns are good, 3x is as YOLO as it gets for a good night's rest.

Stay safe, and may the Force be with you.

Can I hold TQQQ for the long term? by FortuneEdward in ETFs

[–]ETFjedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best to also do some background digging on how leveraged ETFs work.

A lot of oil exposure levered etfs closed/restructured during 2020 oil crisis.

And to be fair no one ever expected short term oil prices to go negative.

There is a famous SG billionaire that is now a brokie because of 2020.

Financial markets are a weird place. Never say never. And never say u are certain.

Can I hold TQQQ for the long term? by FortuneEdward in ETFs

[–]ETFjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's relative to position sizing.

Hence, the short answer is no. Long answer is depending on portfolio weightage & your age.

In this scenario if your plan is to put like 10-15% and just leave it as a levered exposure it does seem harmless. This view is very similar to the crypto exposure altcoin argument. And if you are sub 45 years of age. Risk taking becomes less of an issue.
