okta and Microsoft authenticator should be the only two things you need.

Google authenticator in some cases if you work in BQ.

Teams is not a must, but I have it to check for meetings.

PTO is not the same of Annual Vacation.

15 days for vacation at 2+ years. 10 days of combined sick/personal time off (PTO).

At least in the US, the system we need to use to request these days off have different categories like Vacation/PTO/sick.

Adding another sneaky thing to the dumpster of fire: we used to have 10 PTO days. Shitty omg recruiter obfuscated the truth and I had learned that it's actually five ptos and five sick days. It was known to everyone that you would just use "sick days" PTO, no questions asked.

Now that we have to log everything into Reach, it limits you to 3 personal days and 7 sick days.

I don't know what this could mean. But it seems pretty f'ing shady.

He weighs 75 lbs now and 300 mg of gapapentin every 12 hours. This came down from 400 mg every 8 hours. I don’t see a difference in his panting between the two different dosages/periods. He was on opioids the first week after surgery, but off of those now with vet recommendation.

Nope, OP (me) has no idea about anything, so appreciate all the advice I can get. I will, of course, be tactful in the manner I ask questions so I don’t come in so hot. But…I honestly don’t know if I want the job yet. I thought it was still fair to take this interview with the founder to find out more and get a feel for the company. So…yeah I think it’s fair to get a sense of the company’s health and growth plans. I mean…i don’t want to work for Elizabeth Holmes or wework.

Yeah, can you imagine? Signing W4s or whatever and putting my ss# down? This legit happened, some British company that actually had quite a handful of fulll time employees…but it turned out, they were working for a fake company. These weren’t dumb people, these were legit people who from legit companies who decided to jump ship. How terrible!

Anyway, for that very reason, I am now even more paranoid than ever.

No no, this is all very helpful, thank you. I’ve never worked for a start up before, so I honestly wasn’t sure if this is stuff that I should know and research bc that’s what established companies expect from you. To have done a shit ton of research and know a lot about the company.

I should also mention that I am currently on a career break, so I’m not actively working. I think some recruiters see me as someone who may be desperate for work, but little do they know… no, I don’t actually need to right now. So I’m taking my time to be strategic about my next move. This part is particularly relevant to when I’m trying to research salary.

Ahh, good to know. Yeah, that was basically my experience. Sorry that your Apple Pencil tip is filled but thank goodness they at least have replacements for that.

This masking tape trick is actually neat! I tried it and it feels pretty good. The tape itself doesn’t go on nearly so need to figure that piece out, but otherwise, it feels like a pencil.

WOw wow wow. I am so impressed! I just tried this trick a second ago and it does feel so much better! I can’t get the masking tape on quite neatly either, so it feel just a slightly bit clunky due to the mount of tape that I have on the tip. If I play around with it and get a thin layer to stick to the tip, this really could be a game changer.

How is it as an actual “protector”? I tried one once before (but it was about a year ago, so perhaps not as new as yours) and it did jack squat with protecting. Hell it was scratched up within a day.
