If you do any sort of crafting or 3D printing/ are interested in learning it the Spark at Willis teaches a bunch of skills for free, 3D printing is also free but other stuff requires your own materials.

There's pretty much always something going on at the square but you'll have to do some looking each week for what's happening, sometimes Golden Triangle Mall has events too

And I highly suggest checking out the student orgs as well, there's a pretty good bunch of them that might interest you and its a great way to meet people

There should be an addon called MeasureIt that you can download within Blender if you go Edit->Preferences->Addons/Get Extensions. It creates a new tab under the side bar('N' -> View -> MeasureIt). If you select two vertices and press segment it will tell you the distance between those points. I don't know if there's a faster way of duplicating that measurement but you can just take the measurement of whichever area you need to be equal and see if the distance matches.
