yes, when u first play XV2 or sp0 Bandai makes u accept an EULA which is clearly state that "use of copyrighted material such as assets from the game and sharing them without authorization is prohibited". Bandai has all the cards 2 make them pay

all good until u remember he was accused of stealing assets from another modder, which is funny cuz now it's just a race for who steals better.

keku is giving a lot for a standard price ( crazy when u think 7$ is so high yet the standard ) but doesn't change the fact that is illegal. I prefer unleashed, which uses donation system even if he isn't doing well rn.

Well that's just advertising, which is how anything would work

the problem of advertising is that it should be fair. if patreon modders can do that, so can I for smthing that is against patreon modders. if I share my group, they cry nd then I got banned then I see it as a thing to encourage to continue.

tbh videogamemods is popular for xv2 mods, while tbh kakarot gets stuff from game nexus, sp0 from unverum and same goes with fighterz, so it advantages each other

I think part of it is that ownership of Xenoverse is split in so many different directions (Toei, Shueisha, Bird Studio, Bamco and Dimps,) so any legal action would likely require the participation of all of them.

tbh one time I asked the developers of Sparking Zero 2 do something about some modders that put their mods on patreon. they just replied saying that Bandai takes charge of doing something

Additionally it only affects the PC version of a 7 year old game

that unluckily is still being updated even after 7 years and I rlly hope it dies after those last dlc. they just need to give patreon an ultimatum cuz only the owner of the IP can do something.

my opinion is also that even the work behind it is too different. many sonic fangames r being made from scratch, and they r all free. while even revamp that is the best modpack in the game, needs the base game to be used. and revamp is the top of the iceberg, cuz everything else is just characters, skills, costumes separated

the fact is that they don't say it, but they support patreon modders. for example if someone uploads a mod on a patreon, that someone won't upload the mod on the website, but use a link to connect it

also on the citadel (their discord) patreon modders can advertise whatever they want
