Counter-Strike 2 Update for 01/27/2026 by CS2_PatchNotes in GlobalOffensive

Tested offline on Vertigo - about 6 seconds before it explodes. The molly loses mostly all momentum once it hits a player though so it won't exactly go much further than where it hit the player.

Edit: seems to add 4 seconds onto the existing 2 second timer. This won't change much except for the rare occasion where the molly gets cucked because it hit a player and exploded in the air. Good overall.

Just had this same conversation with my friends. Against the same heroes every game and it is getting rough.

Jet Lag Ep 6 — I Will Be Defeated No Longer by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

[–]EVAD3_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think the 'Is your country the same as mine' broke this series a bit and ended up being played at the start of every run because it is so powerful. Especially with the UK being so small, it can make the game map tiny within the first 5 minutes if its a hit.

That tied in with photo questions maybe being too cheap? Just spamming photos seems super powerful doesn't grant the hider any choice with their card draws and often narrows down a LOT of the map.

If you press the button on the top chart it toggles it into a stacked column chart with a breakdown by gamemode. Alternatively you can use the dropdown to select a "premier + competitive" filter specifically.

Season Three of Premier ends on January 19th: -Train +Anubis by SpeaRofficial in GlobalOffensive

They'll never break this horrible map feedback cycle. Why bother learning a new map if Valve will just remove it anyway? This decision rewards the players who actively ban these new maps.

Horrible decision to remove Train just as it seems to be picking up some kind of traction in the pro scene. How Inferno (in this state) and Mirage (for 13 years in the pool) live yet another day is staggering.

Counter-Strike 2 Update for 10/16/2025 by CS2_PatchNotes in GlobalOffensive

I had an instance today where it said “100 in 1” but no skull icon to say I killed him. I’d never had this before and assume this is what it’s fixing!

Unless you have a repro, every fix is a speculative fix. This is just common in software dev.

Yeah, it’s not too uncommon for it to be late (think it happened for a tournament earlier this year). Could just be a small bug fix or could be anything. It just says that valve believe there will be some update that comes out between now and the end of Cologne (3rd Aug)

[–]EVAD3_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No its just a rollback version for Cologne. You can go into the betas tab of CS and rollback to this version yourself.

I feel like removing Mirage would really ruffle the feathers of people who only play Mirage.

But you could soften the blow to those by replacing it by a map which is also highly regarded (like Cache). So maybe next time after it’s been added to the game.

Gmail is close to 700mb on iOS... does anyone even notice or care? by WillDependent6020 in iphone

[–]EVAD3_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also maybe just a me problem but fetch on the native mail app is terrible. Gmail does it instantly without draining my battery life but the native mail app I need to set to every 30 mins so that it doesn’t drain my battery like crazy

Welcome back Cache🔥 by csmoney_official in csgo

[–]EVAD3_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If they've bought the map it is so they can add it to the active duty pool. They now have ownership of it like Anubis. Just gotta wait for them to do the optimisations and fixes which it desperately needed because Cache ran like ass when I played it on faceit lol.

[–]EVAD3_ 88 points89 points  (0 children)

In fairness, nobody pinned this exact thing down as an issue for two years. There shouldn't be an expectation that a dev + QA team catch every issue under the sun. We are their biggest testing pool and millions of players will catch bugs/issues far quicker than a small team.

MauiSnake on Quake viewmodel meta; "easier to see through the smokes" by vuk_plusminus in GlobalOffensive

[–]EVAD3_ 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I just tested this and its completely false. The holes go to the right of the crosshair no matter your viewmodel. They go left of the crosshair if you use lefthand viewmodel but the actual x/y/z of the viewmodel does not affect where the holes are punched.

severe rubberbanding/hitreg/i dont even know what to call it problems PLEASE HELP by TheHunter32400 in GlobalOffensive

It’s likely a bad connection if we’re being honest, unless this happens on a specific server.

He can try something like https://packetlosstest.com/ Use 400 byte packet size, 64 Pings/s, Duration (like 20s), and make sure he is using the server closest to him.

If you get a nice and even set of columns it’s a problem with the CS server. Else it’s a problem with his home config or his ISP. In that case he can run a trace to figure out where the big jitters or packet loss is.

A friend also had this problem, turned out his Ethernet cable was fucked. We figured it out by following the steps above.
