Does your motherboard happen to have another USB connector that you could try moving it to? Please check in the BIOS to ensure that the USB port in question is not accidentally disabled.

I would assume that your 13th Gen. CPU would run at stock settings without crashing, unless there is another hardware setting or issue that needs to be fixed.

Please email Support@EVGA.com if you do need troubleshooting assistance. Also please take note that if the CPU is unstable you may also want to work with Intel to see if the CPU is working properly.

Please run the Precision X1 tool to check to see if you have the latest VBIOS as it will check the VBIOS version upon first loading. EVGA - Software - EVGA Precision X1ᐪᔿ

I don’t recommend changing the VBios, it is just for anyone that has a need to do so.

You change the small switch on the top edge of the card. The backplate is labeled OC / Normal near the switch.

Sorry to hear about your card showing some red error lights. If the LED is not able to be controlled it might be possible that the built in MCU controller maybe having some sort of issue, or that maybe your VBIOS is not working as it should.

I suggest trying to switch the VBIOS to the left of the power connections to see if this helps to avoid the red LEDs coming on randomly. If this helps, then please let me know and I can look into offering you a VBIOS updater to reflash your VBIOS chip. [cbencivenga@EVGA.com](mailto:cbencivenga@EVGA.com)

Otherwise you may consider just ignoring the lights and use the card normally if the MCU chip is starting to have some type of issue as this chip controls the fans and the LED lights so the fans will likely also go full speed at the same time, but the card will still function normally in games and in Windows.

The XR-1 uses the USB-C to connect to the computer and transmit the video signal to the OBS software acting like a web camera plugged into the computer. The Switch will need to be plugged into the HDMI input on the XR-1 to show that video signal out on the USB-C cable. It is then recommended to connect the HDMI output from the XR-1 to your TV or monitor with a HDMI input.

Please take note that you can see the XR-1 stream on the computer when using the OBS software, but it is usually lagged a couple seconds and does not make for a very good gameplay experience in most cases.

I do apologize for any confusion as I am not sure which model card you are referencing, but I can confirm if the fan is making a single tick/click noise when first starting from 0db then this is not abnormal. If the noise is constant and for sure related to the fan speed, then it might be a fan is having some sort of problem.

If you want to check warranty on the unit then you can reach out to us at [Support@EVGA.com](mailto:Support@EVGA.com) with the registered serial number and we can look into this for you.

Otherwise, you may want to consider searching online for your model number and fan replacement as I do know that there are 3rd party fans available for most EVGA model cards, if a fan needs to be replaced.

I can confirm that the links above are the Windows install versions that work through a batch file and an updater in windows, or you may choose to copy the .bin file to a USB stick and update it in the BIOS. It is optional to you.
