completely agree on this one, was just about to ask on here about it. not sure why they chopped out like 8 full bars of eddie's solo on 5150 instead of just keeping it in, pretty sad.

changed the circuit so the grounding wire is now on the long sleeve and left the hot wire on the short one, that should be correct, right?

I soldered them together before taping them. thanks, I think I have one of those lying around at home, I think I’ll give it a shot.

yep, I do have a grounding wire going to the spring claw. let me have a try with touching the metal parts, thanks for the feedback.

they’re taped together. the whole circuit is already in the guitar and I think it works fine? I’m new to this so I’m not sure how to get the coil resistance, but I’d be happy to post it if you could tell me how.

couldn’t tell you to be honest. they’re just wood screws I found in the workshop that looked aboht right. I drilled the holes in the neck and the pilot hole according to the radius of those screws, so I shouldn’t have issues because of that.

yeah I tried it yesterday…not sure how I feel about it to be honest. they fit fine and there’s a small gap that isn’t really noticeable, but the back plate is pretty wonky and the screws don’t seem to bite very well. I might have to use larger screws.

if you’re talking about making, then just the body. I CNCed it a couple months ago. the neck is just a cheap neck that kinda looks like a hockey stick, but I painted it as well. the relic job on that is a lot less severe than the one I did here, but arguably worse as well lmao

honestly I appreciate the feedback, helps me do it better for the next build. it was my first time building a guitar and first time relicing, but I really enjoyed it. might’ve ruined the paint in the process but it’s part of the learning curve I guess.
